Just so dead set on finding ways to avoid the obvious. Palestinians should be free and have their own state, as stated in International law. Its not for us in the West to dictate the workings of foriegn nations however we do have a responsibility to ensure that law and order prevails. Israel has completely ignored all provisional measures from the ICJ, all official opinions on Israels legal standing on its illegal occupation and is currently invading 2 sovereign territories. Yet its always the people they are destroying and dispossesing that are to blame. 2 state solution can’t work now, nor could it have likely ever worked-Is… would have done to them what they are doing to Gaza until they got a response they desired which they could use as pretext. Only a 1 democratic state solution with the right to return for Palestinians, is just and viable. That has been proven throughout history. Is… would naturally become more moderate in their approach to the rest of the ME. And the countries in the ME would be at ease as it relates to Is… Jim C.. laws in Is… would be reformed, and constructive solutions towards providing rep… would be implemented. Again under a *1 democratic state* + right to return. I’m not saying it’s easy to get there, I’m just saying that it’s the only just and viable solution .

I find it incredible how people can easily say 'Israel is surrounded by enemies' and not wonder critically why that is. If China invaded and overwhelmed the UK and took over Wales, displaced the people there into a small corner where they cannot leave and have no autonomy. Where they control for decades what goes in and out and every now and again go in and 'mow the grass', would it be surprising that groups emerge within the UK of fighters who constantly attack and absolutely hate what is being done to them, their people and their land? You cannot occupy a group of people, continually expand your territory and not expect resistance. It's not just Gaza and the West bank but part of Syria and Lebanon as well.

The violent conflict in Ireland ended decades ago with a non aggressive agreement put in place. They are now trying to disentangle themselves from the UK via diplomatic means but if they were not, yes I would support their actions to gain autonomy as I would if Guam or Puerto Rico did against USA. Are there any other countries you would like to add to conflate the issue?
