Israelis and Americans share much of the same values, such as democracy, freedom of the individual/human rights, work ethic, safety and security, importance of sanitation and aesthetic beauty, etc. Israel in general has a Western mindset, which is why America and Israel get along wonderfully, while those who are against democracy, against the West, hate both Israel and America. While America helps support Israel's security monetarily, it is dishonest to overlook the amount of money America gives to the rest of the world, to countries who hate America and bring nothing but grief and instability to the planet. On the contrary, Israel helps America with unbelievable medical and technological advances. Israel also shares its advanced security methods with America. As well, Israel is always ready to help anywhere in the world when natural disaster strikes. Many times in America itself, and throughout the world too, even to their official enemies such as the Syrians who have been helped tremendously by Israel throughout their civil war. Israel makes the entire planet safer for all of us, by being on the frontline of combatting every day terrorism. A little gratefulness is in order- thank you America and thank you Israel.

I've been at the USA back in the eighties for a month, and done the east coast with a buddy. The US is so beautiful, the ppl are gorgeous. You can really feel the call of freedom in the air. During the month I've spent there, I didn't eat even one kosher meal: I've tasted freedom. Chesapeake bay, Philadelphia, New York. Smiling faces everywhere. It doesn't take you long, to fall in love with the US. The one thing, one attribute that define Americans - is their spontaneity. Yes, I love Israel, its my home.. But.. America is merely a short-form for United States of America. Words can have multiple meanings, ya know? Let me ask you, what country is Dublin in? Are you thinking Ireland? How hypocritical, since Ireland is the name of the ISLAND that the REPUBLIC of Ireland and Northern Ireland share. And yet, people seem content enough using the shortened version of the country's name because that's what people do; they shorten things and convey meaning through context. How about China? Are you referring to the Republic of China, a.k.a. Taiwan, or the Peoples Republic of China? I trust that you will say the latter from now on when you say China so as not to offend the Taiwanese? Additionally, referring to America as a continent requires the framework that North and South America are part of a single continent - a narrative that belongs to the minority of the world, and not to the Israelis for that matter, which seems important to note given the context. Do you always advocate using the definition from a minority of people far removed from the context of the conversation and interlocutors, or are you simply making an exception here? This is not to say that I don't support the terms of "US" and "US American," out of respect to Latin Americans who subscribe to a different and equally subjective framework of the continents. I simply point out that absolute statements that "America is a continent" and "Anglos kidnapped the name" is a hypocritical position arisen from fallacious reasoning.
