Did Katie think at all before she said "You've been partially responsible for re-defining what Blackness is?" Re-defining it for who? Black people? Or for white majority audiences and their backward stereotypes of Black people? Did The Fresh Prince not air 20+ years ago? The Cosby show? There have been similar "successful middle class, youthful cast" shows before. Media are always calling something the zeitgeist for a headline. 'Insecure' stands on the shoulders of those shows, surely?
