I like your opinion.. But as a girl myself, i think this lyrics are intended to be relatable for girls during certain stage of heartbreak. Not necessarily bringing messages such as to be better alone or to be comfortable with pain. But with girls, to be able to heal from heartbreaks some of us has to go through certain stages where it still hurt us but we still want to fight for the relationship. And this song can actually put our feelings into words. Nevertheless, i think this song is not intended to bring bad messages. Love your reactions, keep it up!

I could be misinterpreting you, but you said it like it's a bad thing they don't mention anything explicitly sexual, like you were frustrated they wouldn't mention anything sexual. Does a love song always have to have a sexual turn or reference in it? It could be they just aren't the type of girls to do friends with bennies. Or maybe they just don't want this love song to talk about that? There's plenty of sexually explicit songs nowadays, there's nothing edgy or stand-out about doing that anymore. Not sure if you really think adding something "inappropriate" would actually make the song better? In my opinion, it wouldn't. It would just be jarring with the overall tone of the lyrics, which talk about the emotional/mental aspect of their feelings towards love, rather than the physical/sexual. I think their lyrics actually pair well with the rather wholesome sounding bubblegum pop melody. This is one of their "pink" songs. Their "black" songs are the ones with the more "badass b*tch" edgier vibe to it. But anyway, good reaction, and thanks for your honest opinions. Keep it up! this song for me isn't my jam at all, I don't gravitate towards the wholesome sounding bubblegum pop melodies in general. Which is why I also don't really like Ice Cream, same as you. I don't really gravitate towards any of their "pink" sounding songs, except for their song Don't Know What To Do. There's no music video for it, which is too bad. It has a way more appealing melody to me, gives me really strong bittersweet nostalgic feelings for those carefree summers of my youth. And their dance choreography to it has something very satisfying about it, it's just very smooth and fluid. It's not a hard choreography for them, they're capable of doing very hard choreos, but since they always sing live and dance at the same time, their choreos for their own songs usually aren't that back-breaking. If you are inclined to do so, you can check out their live performances, they really do have something special about them - their stage presence, charisma, talent, cohesiveness, beauty, all together. That X factor. They're just natural performers on top of having years and years of non-stop training and actual talent. You might also like their live performance doing a cover of Miguel's song Sure Thing. It sort of focuses on their raw voices, no dancing at all. It also showcases how cohesive they are when they perform as a group.

And I'm never one to tell someone they should or should not react to something, that's their freedom to do it if they want to. Even if he doesn't like it, he still can react to it. We have the freedom to not watch it if we don't like it. I do admit that his opinion is sort of all over the place, like you said. The more I watched his videos, the more tiring it got, so I sort of lost interest in watching him already. His values are pretty inconsistent and the reasoning for his judgements don't really make sense to me. He might think of himself as a deep and profound person, but I find some of his opinions to be quite shallow. I also get tired of people who always have a "find what's wrong with it" mentality. But if he wants to continue his blackpink reactions, that's fine with me, it makes no difference to me. You and I and other people don't have to watch it if we don't feel like it.

In life we sometimes cling to the idea of love, even though it hurts.... remember most people have only known love to fail, the only ones who know for certain it was forever are the dead, the rest of us either have memories of breakups and heartache, or the fear of it coming, for me the song speaks to that core feeling. other than that it pretty much sums up rebounding, we don't rebound out of spite, but we kinda do, in that case we are inherently sick and in love, because we know we only end up hurting or be hurt, but we do it anyway. I disagree with you, in that I can easily play this with friends, as it has the anthem vibe going, and we can all relate in some way to that... but that is just my opinion :) keep it real as always

Hi, i watch a few of your other reaction to Blackpink before.. I do agree with you on some points about them having a deep and dark side of love as their music.. i wish you would react to the pink side like "As if it is your last"...its a falling in love song a brighter side of their song.. Other than that it can be "Really" or "Crazy Over You".. Personally what i understand about most BP songs are it adopt a girl crush concept..more to something like "if you in a toxic situation (it can be relationship, marriage, work,etc.) you need to get up and fight yourselves don't stay just because you get use to it..because if u stay in the end you are the one who going to suffer (kill this love)..or it can be sing towards haters such as DDU4, how you like that, love to hate me and You Never Know (they do received a lot of hate you'll know if you watch their personal documentary as well as blackpink documentary since they so different..nowadays they are receiving hate because of fanwars)...yes they do sing about broken love such as lovesick girls, hope not and Stay (but this might not be totally about love, since its their song for their fans as well) but they do sing about being strong after break up like "See you later"..they have collabs song like Kiss and Make Up with Dua Lipa.. Although others may prefer other group because it is more peaceful and cheerful concept, what i like about Blackpink is their duality they hv the black and pink side..it gives me confidence..i even dedicated "Love to Hate Me" to my toxic colleagues..haha

Considering they are likely targeting a pre-teen/teen girl demographic, it makes sense to promote messages like "love causes pain and we are a bit addicted to it, so it's better to be alone." Teenagers think they know all about love and they experience a lot of heart break so avoiding that can sometimes be preferable cuz there's more than enough drama when you're that young
