Shooting the ISSF 25m Pistol or 25m Centre-Fire PistolEvent.
25m Pistol combines both Precision and Rapid fire shooting. Everything is done in 5-shot series, with a 60-shot match format. Each shot is scored out of 10 (depending on how close to the centre the shot lands) for a possible maximum of 600 points.
Firearm: Any ISSF compliant pistol or revolver capabable of discharging 5 rounds of .22LR or a centre-fire cartridge (at least 30 calibre - .32S&W Long is most common) without the need to reload.
Target: ISSF 25m Precision target (5cm 10-ring, additional scoring rings are an additional 5cm each) and ISSF 25m Rapid Target (10cm 10-ring, additional scoring rings are an additional 10cm each).
Distance to Target: 25m
Loading time: 60 seconds to load (from an empty magazine) and prepare. Upon hearing the command "Attention!" shooting time will begin in 7 seconds using a turning target, audible, or visual signal.
Course of fire:
5 shots sighting (unscored). 300 seconds for 5 shots.
30 shots (6 series of 5 shots), 300 seconds for 5 shots.
30 shots (6 series of 5 shots), 3 seconds per shot with 7 seconds between.
Paper targets are changed after every 10 scored shots.
All shots are fired one-handed, using open sights.
