The reason they're double-sided with the same on both sides is because the original version had German on one side, and English on the other.

I really appreciate how you guys include types of game groups you play with and how various games translate to their gameplay enjoyment (or not). it helps me figure out how to prioritize game to fill my collection in with to work with various groupings.

It's Istanbul? I thought it was Constantinople. Why did they change it? I cannot say. Maybe they like it better that way.

I have this and love it. it is just a race to 6 rubies game but it has so much teplay value. I like mixing the tiles up so the boards and paths you take is different everytime needing different approaches to each game. My version of the big box has English on one side and German on the other. I feel the same about the insert and will definitely keep an eye out at broken token for one x

Hi Tom, great vid! I’ve been tossing up whether to buy the base game or the big box for a while now. I always felt I would be satisfied with just the base, but the narrow price difference makes the big box all the more tempting. Still a tough decision even after watching your comprehensive video - pros and cons are strong for the big box, but I MIGHT have to go with the base so as not to overwhelm my game gang with too much ‘analysis paralysis’ 🧐
