29 May 1953 is the date of golden age of İstanbul started. Ayasofya was reborn with Ottoman Empire. There were numerous attacks FROM WESTERN to İstanbul and its monumental buildings in the reign of Romans. So they were about to collapse. With Ottoman reign, Ayasofya and İstanbul came back to life. Everything with artistic value was carefully repaired and preserved by Fatih Sultan Mehmet, the Turkish Emperor. Even the folks of Romans were waiting for the New ruler.
