Isthmus Peak, Wanaka | New Zealand Day Hike | Better than Roys Peak?

Hey loves! This week we’re heading up on a day hike to Isthmus Peak, a slightly lesser well known hike in Wanaka, compared to the infamous Roys Peak, and honestly it was a stunner! Climbing through the hills, surrounded by the bright blue lakes, of Wanaka and Hawea, this is definitely a hike not to be missed, especially if you're looking for something a little shorter- So slip on your walking boots, were going for a hike.

Just got back from South Island. I did Isthmus Peak on March 17. I too wanted to avoid the crowds, and it was fantastic! There were 6 of us at the top. Weather was sunny and 13 degrees Celsius. Thanks for your video. It was spot on!

Agreed, especially in New Zealand, its wayyyyy to easy to burn, i probably could've done with a long sleeve for this hike, but we did make sure to put plenty of factor 50 on, thankyou! So sorry to hear about your skin cancer too, hope you manage to fight it off really soon💗

Thankyou so much for watching, it took us about 3hrs to get up and 1hr 30/2hrs to get down, so not too bad, definitely worth it for the views that you get😊

Thankyou Tony! Yeah we've been living in Wanaka for a little while now, which we absolutely loveeee, but we're probably only gonna spend a couple more weeks here though, before travelling the rest of New Zealand, such a beautiful part of the world though

Yes! It definitely is, I feel like we go so much faster😅 Although we're pretty keen to do some long distance trails again, now we've rested haha
