Well idk bout this guy. Why would you cauterise that? It seems that would make it much harder to get out. I was a nurse for 15yrs and it just doesn't make sense to me. A small cut wit a scalpel is all he needed. I've watched several of his videos n let's just say BRUTAL BUTCHERY!

Dr Lee is the only physician in your little group. I like the other ladies, but they are estheticians aren't they? I really don't know about Josepha and her scope of practice since she practices in another Country.I know Enilsa can't excise a cyst.

@@sharonbeckett721- I watch her videos. I enjoy watching different approaches. I don't have any favorites. I'm used to working with different surgeons and their individual methods. I learned way back that each patient and their surgery are completely individualized. It's impossible for anyone to say one doc can do this individual patient "better", "quicker," etc. I'm not fussing at you. Some people are downright rude and the majority don't know what they're talking about. No one has to like any particular approach. It's funny that many of their complaints and criticisms have been explained by the nurses!

After freezing, this cyst should have been cut, NOT CAUTERIZED. This poor patient should have had a better removal than this. The entire cyst was not removed. This is a 'butcher' job and the person doing this procedure definitely NEEDS more education before working on anyone else.

I felt bad for the patient. The doctor has an unskilled hand and in inability to think on their feet to do what’s best for the patient. The patient has naturally beautiful skin, and now probably scarred.

Every time I see this tool used to open a cyst, it’s a real struggle to get the contents out. I think this tool uses heat to open and cauterise the wound at the same time, but it seems to prevent the contents from coming out. A small cut with a scalpel seems to work so much better.

Sudima I personally would not say that. I know very well that some of the informational videos on KZbin are either a. Stolen, or b. not done by a medical professional. I don't agree with anyo one doctor or amateurs way of doing things just because of a name. There are some things with doctor Lee which that I like and others that are too repetitive. I look at all kinds of different videos and different techniques Etc. I think I just like watching pinched and pulled on. Either way, I really did think that cauterization was used to make something actually heal immediately rather than cut or whatever you want to call it. Hope your day is blessed, cheers.

He uses a scalpel, stitches up patients and uses anesthesia. An unlicensed practioner wouldn't have access to those things. Watch some of the pimple popping videos and see how they have to deal with cysts. Aside from that, I don't understand his methods, but it's entertaining. Anything beyond that is between him and his patient.

I have worked with instruments for many years in all fields of surgery. Trust me, they don't come with a label stating that this instrument can only be used in, say, a c section or lumbar discectomy. If it works, then it's the right instrument.

False. You burn it and that will help minimize capillary bleeding but a hole is a hole even if the edges don’t bleed. Cautery is used for incision in many procedures, and the smoke smell is really hard to get used to.

@@Ronin.Samurai what facts? Because he used a bovie to make the initial incision instead of a scalpel? There are studies out now that determined this can have benefits. Less bleeding, naturally. Other results were faster healing of the incision and a smaller, nicer looking scar. Yes, this is different from what most of us are used to seeing. Medicine evolves. Our treatments change as new studies come out. Years ago we shaved right before surgery. Now there are studies showing that packing a wound isn't always recommended. Just because he operates differently doesn't necessarily mean he's wrong, or an imposter.

Rebecca Matin ~ Ugh, she is NOT the only dermatologist in the world. There are plenty of awesome dermatologists who may perform a procedure differently than Dr Lee who get the very same results. As I've said before: There is more than one way to skin a cat.
