This really bothers me. When was Lviv russian? Are you saying that the Soviet Union was not a union of republics, where Ukraine was one of those, but a continuation of Russian Empire, occupying, subjugating and colonizing the many nations around it. That wouldn't make Lviv russian, only occupied and controlled by russia for a historically very brief time. It would be more accurate to make a video about Novgorod as Swedish history, or even more apt, Manchuria as Chinese. I don't know what they teach Russians in school to make them so profoundly ignorant about their own history, unable to reflect critically, study outside sources or even begin to understand their nationalist bias.

It is very difficult to shoe-horn Lviv into Russian history. It of course belongs firts and fotemost in Ukrainian history, but has an important place in Polish history and Austrian/Hungarian history too. Its significance for russian history is nil. Unless you are doing the history of Russian colonization, but russians rarely do that.
