Foot has to stay on the line when the ball is kicked…he can then launch himself after that to the ball. I think the blue team’s keeper was a half a second early…very hard to see in real time. Grey team’s keeper was waaaaay off by comparison.

Ref had a great game. Good comms and clearly pointed out his expectations. It's a bit difficult to keep the feet on the line with the low crossbar but he clearly told them he was relaxing the foot rule a bit because of the curved goal line. The guy in black......shut up man.

Ref pointed out the goal line was bowed so he allowed it for both keepers a little leeway on the line. Final report imo the ref was spot on all penalties and told the keepers each time if they saved it he was gonna recall it. Final save was spot on with the leeway.

This is about the fourth game of this ref that I have seen. He is really good. Wish they were all like this. The games would be much cleaner. Great control of the game. UPDATE-I got to the very last penalty goal…and I don’t understand that call. Goalie was clearly off the line.

I paused it exactly at the moment that it was kicked. His leg that he ended up making the save with was hovering about an 3 inches above the line but was over the line. Although this technically makes it an illegal save, referees are generally instructed to give about 6 inches of leeway when not using VAR because of flash lag effect.

@@ok8171 wouldnt go as far as to call him bad ref, he did good in the game was fair mostly, but on the pk i can challenge anyone to find any goalie who keeps one foot on the line in any competition any level, you cant its impossible when you trying to get power in your legs to jump. None of the pks did either keep have a leg in the line when they jumped. He made too much of it . Why count the ones they missed and not the ones they made? If their feet of the line then it should always be replayed. The point is the rule is dumb

Considering calling any keeper off the line has been ignored for decades, even with the rule changes,it's still ignored. Has to be ridiculously obvious to call. Been there. Same thing as calling 6 seconds. The pros abuse that rule. Heck, the complaints about Canada's keeper was aimed at the ref by everyone in the sport. Some rules are begged to be ignored. Statues by pros of free kicks and preventing keepers from releasing the ball has increased horribly. Watch keepers stand in the penalty arc outside the PA and punt balls. Hoping off the soapbox. As a referee, I was told by my assessor I won't move up because I enforce ALL the LOTG.
