ISU with 7 prem shells? I have over 1k battles in the free ISU (Has less pen) and I NEVER fired gold, you don't even need it when facing T10s.

I also have the 2 ISU (both the line and the premium) and I don't use gold ammunition in any of the 2, apart from the AP ammunition I sometimes use the HE ...
