is this with the fastest car? i current ly try to do this with my starter trueno with small upgrade. i start at hakozaki PA. and reach yokohama line because i take the wrong turn. so it takes 16 minutes. probably half hour or more if i actually pass that.

As a long time Wangan Midnight Player, I've always wanted a time attack route that combines both Tokyo Metro (C1 & New Belt Line) and Kanagawa (Wangan & Yokohane) lines to create one big loop. In Wangan Midnight, that route might take damn near 20 minutes to complete 🤯

When the full game comes out, I want access to the Minato Mirai routes to open. This means that instead of going through Daikoku upbound, you go through Minato Mirai upbound. But for the time being, I have a request: Can you do the full map of the game going anti-clockwise? C1 inner loop --> Yokohane downbound --> Daikoku downbound --> Wangan eastbound --> New Belt Line upbound.

One thing I'm noticing is the traffic seems to be pretty static and set to put one car at a random lane with fixed intervals between them. I kinda hope that can be adjusted later on in the game's lifespan because it seems a bit artificial.

Nope but considering both series take place in the same setting, based on the whole 80-90s street racing culture, and have a same general vibe, they definitely fit well. I personally sometimes run with either WMMT music or eurobeat at times. Helps me immerse myself further.

435ps and 1490kg? Not exactly "DANGEROUS" as in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune language. In real life, you could get BMW E92 M3, Audi RS4 or Mercedes C63 for that kind of spec.

Probably because it's still an "Early Access" so Genki decided to gatekeep some of the contents. Even if we talk about Wangan Midnight(Arcade version "Maximum Tune"). I think WMMT6RR (Correct me if i'm wrong) only maxxed out at 840HP, Tatsuya(Blackbird) 930 only like 700HP and Akio 240Z(Devil Z) probably around the same(Dunno about the "F1 Turbo" arc tho). Except the Supra's, Chaser, Mark X, GT-R's and Fairlady's. I doubt Genki push the horses into 4 digits.

Also the gameplay systems from the both games are so different (TXR utilizing the SP Battle with its RPG skill tree upgrade elements while Night-Runners utilizing the sprint races with gambling elements)

The whole TXR series is actually inspired by the Wangan Midnight series, with obvious cameos of both the Devil Z and Blackbird appearing as the final bosses in previous games. Besides, Genki helped develop Wangan Midnight R, Wangan Midnight on PS2/PS3, and WMMT4 beyond in the arcade.

Kind of surprised at how little I care about this game, it looks great and people seem to be liking it, but everytime I see gameplay I'm always reminded of those cheap AC Mods where some guy is driving on a Japanese highway at like 180mph and its the most bland game type I've ever seen. TikTok Slop probably just ruined a fun type of game for me.

Probably because you either like track racing or touge racing a lot more but this game (as well as the AC mods you see) are inspired by the street racing culture in 90's Japan (apart from Touge racing) of ripping it in the Tokyo Expressway, mainly the Bayshore Route (Wangan)
