whenever you are taking many bolts, like the round pattern you have on display, or in a square pattern - like the valve cover or heads' pattern set up as well, try to do it in a cross sectional way - intake manifolds, on the on the other hand, do what the engineers have indicated to manufacturers on service manuals taking into consideration its construction material - that is the professional way to do it in order to avoid demage to structural surfaces you are working on it - that is made in order to balance the stress fatigue of metal tightened according to specs and to prevent premature failure of stressed metal parts👍

hello, can the wheel stud be replace without removing the rotor ?
@nigelmchugh55413 жыл бұрын
No, you need to split the hub/disk to get clearance to push out the old stud.

I done this repair and the abs light now stays on. Any help as to why. We never press out the bearing we probably bent the ring.

not sure sorry

It's the speed sensor sir. The ring is not aligned anymore with the sensor

Is the abs ring meant to move? It didn’t before and now it does.

Wow. Isuzu just quoted me $120 AUD to change over one wheel stud on the front. I can now see that is a good investment.

Even though the discs are new do you true them ul first on the machine?
@dcf4762 жыл бұрын
Generally no, just use some emery sandpaper and clean the mating surfaces so they bolt up flush and use a criss-cross pattern when tightening the bolts, just for the sake of it, I do them up to 50% of recommended torque, 75% then finish with 100%. Probably doesn't make a difference but I think it does considering heads and stuff get done gradually.

Preload those bearings mate can lead to premature wear
