Isuzu Dmax Long Travel Shocks Install

Installed some 4” bilstein long travel shocks, didn’t get as much travel as hoped. After troubleshooting multiple issues I now know that the leafs are the main thing restricting me from gaining more travel. Will be making another video on how I fix that issue. Hope you enjoyed the video!

you really need to get a new set of leaf springs because they are staring to fold backwards, need more constant load asap.

So far, I have no knowledge these time that how to take a suspension setups under the performance pliabilities nor even to comprehend a serious offroad truck challenged with suspension-related qualified mechanics, as though for so far I having a coping mechanims regarded about gear ratio rationalizations over the limit of power-to-weight ratio mechanics, the revving matched-grade and the diameter related wheels, all from them are my theoretical studies to cope from my BMX serious gear ratio findings👍

Looks like you got minimal up travel in the shocks, impacting the down travel on the opposite side. Plus you need to extend your bump stops, to save the shocks bottoming out

Hey mate, great vid.. I can’t help but notice your leaf springs are going into negative arch under full compression.. is that the compromise for maximum travel? What would be the most weight you would have in the back? Ya don’t want them going bang!

Ryan Doyle hey mate these leafs are only temporary but the dmax leafs in general sit pretty flat, there’s no issue with them going inverted under compression most do that if set up properly they’ll allow me to get heaps of up travel, but they’re pretty old so they’re not wanting to naturally push the diff down on the down travel side so I’m getting some custom leafs made up that’ll allow me to get full up and down travel out of these shocks and they’ll sit flat when resting with weight in the back which is the most comfortable setup to have
