WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but I have been moving and living in different countries due to the nature of my work. I’ve lived in countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.

Il Sogno means dream, so basically the visual is about what she's looking on her dream. That's why so many random things on it, just like something we could see on our dreams. Musically, Isyana was learning classical since very beginning and she told if those her previous pop songs actually were her "experiment" for something new and this classical on her recent songs are her true identity (Lexicon, Unlock the Key and Il Sogno) . Why there are metal/rock elements on them, I guess because basically metal is closest genre to classical, she also enjoy it and both could blend perfectly.

fun fact: both classical and metal music shouldn't be played while you're driving because they're trigger same emotional swing. I've heard about this from a psychologist years ago.

'IL SOGNO' itself, a word in Italian which means 'dream', means that this song is an outpouring of dreams experienced by Isyana. 'IL SOGNO' is written and compiled as a description of dreams and an attempt to understand hidden meanings.
