To sum up the ending scene, Alex Mason is the conspiracy theory of the Second Shooter of JFK, it's still a mystery. That's why Alex Mason said : " Proceed to target, Oswald compromised " implying that he worked with Oswald and Oswald was the shooter and was captured by the police. There is no evidence that Alex Mason killed JFK BUT he is still involved. Bo2 is the continuation of Bo1 with flashbacks and future missions.

Fun fact about the cutscene before the final mission, notice how with every shot that shows the character your playing with Mason, the numbers are flooding the background which shows his corrupted mind. But in the final mission, the numbers are completely gone because Maso had finally overcome the corruption within his head and his mind was finally free to allow him to move and think on his own without anything influencing it. Nice little attention to detail if you look at stuff like that.

World at war is nice, but the problem is that it follow multiple different frontline of battle, not focusing on a single story line Also if people didn’t know, reznov is one of the protagonist in waw and Petrenko is the player character. You can see Petrenko die in black ops 1, the person that got gassed and reznov can only watch, that’s why he want revenge

This is the Best Call of Duty game I reckon. I think it's the most creative that they ever got with the story telling. Using the fog of the Cold War to blend real and fictional elements was really well done here. Great VA performances all around. The multiplayer and zombies were also among the best in the franchise.

I hope we get answers answered but sad to learn campaign in mw3 and newer cod will continue to be 8 missions .. I am not sure why but why can't we have 10 or 13 missions at least. Watching little kids learning about this masterpiece is amazing Also explanation: Mason was programmed by Dragovich, Steiner, and Kravchenko to kill John F Kennedy because they found out that he was an extremely high ranking CIA agent but Reznov had tampered with his objectives basically overriding the Kennedy orders with Reznov’s revenge objectives which is why he keeps cutting in and out while at the pentagon (his original objective to kill jfk is blocked out by reznov’s revenge), my old theory personally is that after completing Reznovs objectives of killing all three of the targets, his Kennedy assassination orders came back which is why there’s a photo of him at JFK assassination at the end

The mission where you meet Kennedy at the Pentagon takes place November 10th, 1963, 10 days before he was assassinated. The next mission where you destroy the rocket takes place a week later. Then from there, the game time jumps 5 years later to 1968. That’s why Dragovich says “tried?” when Mason says “you tried to get me to kill my own president” because he had already done it 5 years ago earlier
