Well she also planned for the queen to see her. She told Francesca about the piano & then made the queen take a walk with her & purposely took the queen right past the room Francesca was playing in. Mostly Mrs.Danburry loves choosing the diamond of the season but making the queen think it was her choice.

Im so in love w her character rn bcus shes so me. Like- shes not warm and passionate like Daphne. Shes not pressured and repressed like Anthony. Shes not lost like Benedict and Colin. Shes not repulsed by society's expectations like Eloise. Shes just there. Unmoved by the moving world. Unfazed by the winds. She's accepted what society wants from her, and in spite of that - she's continued to develop her own sense of self that is *beyond* society. Simply put, shes the coolest of em all.

@@bazooka-sharks-parker Nope, all the main couples need to remain unchanged. Francesca has her happy ending but it's bittersweet for some fans (like me). Netflix can at least make it a little bit less tragic (but I cannot say how without spoilers).

Kinda like me. I watched the first two seasons when they came out but I wasn't planing on watching the third until I saw clips of Francesca. Though she isn't really shown much because she isn't the main character for this season, she still has a decent amount of screen time and her budding romance with Kilmartin is soooo cute. They're both introverted so seeing them just chill with each other was pretty nice.

This was such a great analysis and i feel so validated because it's like you put all my thoughts into words about the latest season! 😭 The only thing I will disagree with though, is the part about Eloise. She really IS annoying not because she's a pick me (far from it in fact). It's because she falls into this one-dimensional, white feminist trope. Where she's constantly talking about women and their position in society, but also rolling her eyes at the women around her and acting as if they're stupid to care about the things they do aka marriage and finding a suitable match. As Amy from Little Women would say: marriage is an economic proposition for a lot of these women, as well as a metric by which their value is weighed and they don't really have much of a choice in it. It's almost like trying to find a job. Plus she never checks her own privilege, never even DOES anything with that privilege. She's always complaining about how women are not allowed to talk about any other interests besides marriage and yet SHE doesn't even have any other interests of her own besides whining! There is a scene in season 3, where the other ladies of the ton are discussing about embroidery and Eloise reacts with such boredom and disdain for their topic of conversation, as if handicrafts are too silly to talk about. Lastly, she's also a bad friend to both Penelope and Cressida. She treats Pen like a sidekick and Cressida like a distraction. Hears but never actually listens to them. Never tries to even empathise with their problems in life. It took her TWO whole seasons to figure out Pen was Lady Whistledown, THAT'S how less she notices her own "best friend"!

I am not sure you will like throne of the fallen. I found her kingdom of the wicked series too heavy on explicit content and weaker on fantasy elements [and that was marketed as YA/NA]. If you are into amish stories and like mysteries/thrillers, you could try the Kate Burkholder series by Linda Castillo. I have read the first two books and enjoyed them!
