Please do not apologize for the shorter videos. In my own opinion, 15 - 20 minutes is quite sufficient to keep everyone up to date with your daily life. I think we are all happy to see how you get on with your pursuits in however much time you can include in your vlog. By the way, I, too was thrilled when I purchased my own KitchenAid mixer, which is the same model as yours. It is a very exciting addition to anyone's kitchen! Much love from western Canada!

I love my kitchen aid mixer and I have the meat grinder it was a life saver during lock down. I was able to make my own sausage and grind my own chicken hamburger. I received mine as a gift from my oldest daughter because me and my grandson love to cook together. He told his mom when he was three that his grandma needed it to teach him. He told me that he was the one to get it when I pass last year. He is thirteen now and cooks all the time. So grandma will grant his wish and pass it on to him. I am just so glad he loves cooking and baking.

Michael, read the instructions and it will tell you how to adjust the setting of the mixer so the beater/paddle won't hit the side like it was doing - you can adjust it so it will just wipe the inside of the bowl but not bang against it. Also, you might want to make a cover for it - maybe using fabric in a Spode design - sort of like the cover for a tea kettle. You are going to love it! I understand why you are so excited.

Thanks for the daily vlogs, Michael! As others have said, don't worry about the length. I'm happy for your acquisition. I love my Kitchen Aid as well. Since I was a professional baker, I held out for the one with the handle that raises and lowers the bowl. At the time it was the only model with a larger size bowl.

Kitchen aids hold up forever, mine is 35 yrs old and going strong. I use it all the time. I have the grinder/ grater and sausage stuffer. Have fun, its wonderful.!!

KitchenAid is one of the better mixers. I love mine, have had it for 15 years and still going strong. Kneading doughs are done on speed 1- 3 not higher.

I use mine for bread, but the short coming is that you cannot double a recipe. One loaf works as its limit.

@@clairsadler5989 Oh I knead one batch of dough, then I make the next dough and knead it and then I combine them in a larger bowl... that way I can do 4 pan loafs at once. I use mine also for buttercream frosting and cakes.

I have my husband’s great grandma’s old Kitchen aid mixer. They are amazing and any of the attachments work on any of the mixers. Make sure you calibrate it though according to the directions because sometimes the attachments need to be raised or lowered a hair. Enjoy!

You will really like your Kitchen Aid. I love mine.. Quick story how I got mine for free. I ordered leather boots from Macy's department store a few years ago and I was delivered a stand up mixer instead. I brought it back to the store and the manager refunded my money for the boots and told me to keep the mixer as a gift for my troubles. I couldn't believe it! I was super happy.

Did you know you can actually buy alot of avacodos while they are hard then keep them in double tightly closed plastic bags in the fridge. Take a couple out ( I buy8 or 10) and put them in a brown bag(like sandwich bags) for a couple of days and they are READY to use

As an ex-professional baker, I can tell you, a Kitchen-Aid stand-mixer like this is the best option for home baking. The machines are sturdy, the attachments are great, the company is good to work with if you have a problem (at least in Canada they are), and they really are beautiful. I'M excited for you!

Congrats Michael on your wonderful Kitchen Aide mixer!! I have been using one since we got married 35 years ago! I just bought the ice cream attachment and love love love it! I can see you making some sorbet or ice cream and packaging it. I would especially like to see the Bramble ice cream and the Jam cooing vlog. You are a natural for this and I am so happy to see you going in this direction. You have your neighbor with the dairy cattle near by, lucky you. Enjoyed the grocery store shopping trip and seeing the Gigantic veggies oh my gosh the avacados are the largest I have ever seen and the red bell pepper too. We also have a Kitchen Aide dishwasher and have had several in different homes we have owned. That is the only dishwasher I would own. They are fantastic. Anything K.A. makes is top quality that is for sure. Please show again how you do the tomatoe seeds. The plants we purchased this year did nothing. Too much rain I suppose. The D Varient has hit us hard in Coastal GA USA many are not doing well right now, so your videos are so timely and pleasant for everyone. KZbin favours longer videos. The longer your vlogs, the better the money. More shorter videos get you less, even if the combined material is the same over the course of a month. So Michael really has a financial interest in longer Vlogs. (Not saying he makes long Vlogs because of that. I think the style just suits him.)

I got my KitchenAid mixer 46 years ago. I saved S&H green stamps from the grocery store, and redeemed them for the mixer! It was the best kitchen application I’ve ever owned. I bought the attachments, very expensive, never used them ending up giving them away. I never missed them. I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

I have the ice cream bowl attachment, I love it. You have to have a big enough freezer to let it sit in overnight so you may have to let it freeze inside the chateau freezer. But it works so well.

I got my first KitchenAid mixer in 1976. It was white exactly as yours. We didn't have the scraper/paddle then though. Over the years I acquired a grinder (mincer), pasta roller and spiralizer attachments. Four years ago I gave that mixer to a young friend just starting out and bought myself (treated myself really) a red one. It will last until I die. I use it nearly daily....have been making bread weekly since 1972. Thanks for your enthusiasm, your attention to detail. Your cottage is lovely.. I fry plantain slowly in a frying pan, butter, salt and pepper, served with eggs and toast. I cut them in half, lengthwise.. My Jamaican GF calls it Jamaican Bacon. Good stuff.

Hi Michael. I am really loving the daily vlogs. It gets to be later in the afternoon, and I go to KZbin to see what is happening in your life. I am happy to say that I have a KitchenAid mixer as well. When I bought my new refrigerator, the man said that I could have anything from the sale table. The KitchenAid was there, and I scarfed it up immediately. Best thing I ever got for free! Enjoy yours. It does wonders when you are making bread or any kind of dough. Bought my white Kitchen aid mixer in 1978. Never had any problems using it...I bought another one 10 years ago for spare but barely used it! I have 2 of the meat grinder attachment and vegetable shredder, love it! You will surely have fun employing it i. your kitchen! And thanks for the videos, always looks forward to them!
