the blue meth theory is just a theory because both shows are on the same network, other than that not plausible because walking dead was a comic before breaking bad was a thing and the fact that the whole world is infected meaning if you die from natural causes you comeback shuts down that theory

Yay, nice one guys. Dont worry about tying FTWD and TWD together, they dont spoil each other and they dont really cross over to the point where one show is depending on the other. Note, it's almost impossible to synchronise the shows internal timelines anyway. Dont spend too long trying to figure out if something happened in one show, when did it happen in the other? You'll get in a pickle. They dont match.

Rob. just a reminder "The Walking Dead" pilot, when Rick wakes up from his coma happened on day 59 of the Apocalypse in, so Rick is still unconscious in the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. The pilot of FTWD takes place on days 1 and 2 of the Apocalypse in L.A., California.

Welcome to LA, on Day zero. i love this show because it REALLY shows just how flat-footed and "pants-down" this outbreak caught the whole damn world. PS- on this day in king county GA, Rick and Shane are having lunch and discussing "the guy gospel". this is a reality where "night of the living dead" was never made, so they have NO IDEA what the dead coming back to life and eating the living would entail. this was "rumor and innuendo on 4chan" for a couple weeks and BOOM, now there's this popping off everywhere.

I really think fear the walking dead is underrated and has some gripping story, and for me since I read the walking dead comics I knew the plot watching fear and not knowing really made a difference

I'm glad you are doing this. Season 1 -3 are great. The rest is mixed but still worth going through. I'm still watching it because I'm a completest. I really liked the cast here. Madison the mom was as you noticed also in Lost and Deadwood. A great show too. The actor who plays Nick is the son of Stephen Dillane who played Stannis Baratheon from Game of Thrones.

This show is amazing. First 3 season is amazing, and it dips off and gets great again, then drops. The show tries a lot of different things than TWD so if that’s what you like, then you’ll love it. But it’s very very different. I cannot wait.

They filmed this series in Vancouver Canada where I live. It was quite funny because when they started filming Vancouver was going through a heat wave and L A had had a streak of rainy days so the people making the series commented that Vancouver looked more like LA than L A😅

One thing to keep in mind that as this first episode shows the beginning of the outbreak, when it aired, TWD was already a few years into the apocalypse, so the timelines aren't synced up between the 2 shows. Fun fact: There was early speculation that Madison would be revealed as a cousin or some sort of relative of Rick Grimes due to her southern accent which would be kind of cool, I guess. I love Kim Dickens, she is a fantastic actress!

I really like TWD universe. Main show takes place starting in Georgia and ending up up by DC. Fear is california/texas/Mexico. The World Beyond is central/Midwest (nebraska/SD/Colorado)

Just fyi this show's first 3 seasons take place during the first 64 days of the apocalypse/new world, with season 3's finale taking place on the same day as season 1's finale of the CDC exploding.
