The smart thing to do is leave the protector on until it gets marred, marked, or scratched to where it is annoying BUT HAS PROTECTED the screen from all of the above, then when you take it off, you have a NEW screen again. I leave mine on until they fall off or are hard to see threw!

Thanks for finally reviewing this beast. I’ve seen other reviews by others online and they’re almost 50/50 that it does what it’s supposed to. I really hope you do a follow up when you can because I trust your reviews. I already know this thing’s it cheap but for what it can do and comes with, I think it could be worth my money. 1) If the screen protector does not interfere with viewing, it stays on until it falls off. 2) Perhaps the weight of the GoPro Camera is messing with the drone's computer?

I went for the red mjx bugs 8 similar to the one you guys reveiwed years ago. $80 new in box off eBay, I was nervous about it being old tech but holy cow it's fast and responsive and I don't regret my purchase. Just wondering why they haven't released anything new for awhile cuz this drone is so good for under $100

Sounded and looked to me like you didn't read (study!) the manual Nate. I can imagine that 'normal' planes don't have any secrets for you any more, but you were just guessing and pushing buttons on a craft with different capabilities than the ones you're used to, and luckily it were those enhanced capabilities that prevented the craft from tumbling out of the sky at one point. It would set a better example to the community if you would come to the field a little more prepared imho.

@@theoztreecrasher2647 Fair point; but I'd also argue that you don't have to watch it if you don't appreciate the approach. They've said many times one of their big goals is to introduce the hobby to everyone. There's lots of other channels that go into the very technical / advanced / "I know you already have 10 RC vehicles, have been in the hobby for 5 years and just want to see how this product works/rates" - but this isn't the place for that. At least in my humble opinion :). You also don't know what video will be the first video that someone finds their channel, if they came across a super technical and intimidating video they probably wouldn't watch / subscribe / stay around. In my field of work I see both sides a lot - the helpful expert keeping it simple/accessible, and the expert that's willing to be helpful but only to advanced users and scoffs (maybe not openly) at the "newbie" questions. To each their own, but I like the helpful approach :)

After watching this video it seems the only way to get good video footage is to fly it like a plane. Reminds me of a Harrier jet. So it's not a drone in my opinion. You can't hover a plane so you have to keep moving or crash lol. I keep the plastic film thingy on as long as possible. It's like a screen protector

It seems to me the transition is so high because of the unit's instability. Looks the builder has a few kinks to work out. New ideas are always clunky and pricey. I just got one of those electric assist mountain bikes. Very clunky and pricey, but eventually they'll be better. Still fun.

The minimal transition altitude is a no go for me. I didn't like that on bit. Now if it's not a minimum altitude for horizontal flight, then maybe? Maybe they have a default although cor flipping? A GEO Fence is pretty nice sometimes I'd think. My Hubsan H507D has a flight confines area a geo fence i guess.with a maximum altitude and circle diameter. I can get a GoolRC TriCoptor/drone/airplane that has 3, not 4 props. Called the XK450. I paid $92 delivered. It's about the same thing. Kinda. Like Delta Wing jet. , 17" X 17" It takes off like a drone, , hovers, like a drone, then push a red button and it's a fast airplane.or, push again. And it stops and hovers. .
