I STILL listen to this album at least once a month since about 2006 when I first heard these guys. They have been very influential in my own music writing. Obviously my tastes in music have changed a bit as I lean more towards the heavier now (brand of sacrifice, shadow of intent), and I don’t listen to half the bands I used to, but It’s a testament to them standing the test of time.

This takes me back to some awesome times in my life. Just discovered metalcore by showing up to my cousins band practice and they had a style like this and the vocalist at the time wasn't there that night and the guitarist was just fuckin around and told me to get on the mic and do something and I'd practiced doing stuff like that on my own before but never in person and when i started doing my vocals along with what they were playing everything flowed and sounded perfect like I'd been doing it for way longer and they all looked at each other and said we gotta get him on vocals full time lol, I was so nervous but stoked and at that moment i fell in love with metalcore and joined the band and we all drove to st louis one night a few weeks later and saw it dies today and the chariot in a tiny ass club right when this album came out and it was the first time I'd ever gotten to see a band like this live and it was awesome. Wish things would have stayed together with my band cause we legitimately had a good following and had a sound like IDT and as i lay dying and had been talking to metalblade and victory about signing when we sent them a press kit and then schedules with some of the members jobs started getting in the way and led to 2 new members and after that everything went down hill for the next 3 years and ultimately fell apart. Truly some fun times though in my life that I'll never forget ❤

It was an amazing show. My friend was an even bigger fan of ITD and actually got to meet them after they preformed.

I was going through all my childhood video tapes in the basement and I found this on an old compilation tape of IMF, anyone remember the international music feed? The channel doesn't exist anymore. It was basically MTV but it showed music videos from all around the world. one day you might get Japanese punk rock the next you might get Russian rap and Indian techno. This just happens to be one of the most Emo songs of the 2000s, Good Times.

Never bought any CD nor listened to any song by It Dies Today if anyone besides Nicholas Brooks was on vocals. I don't have any animosity towards the other guys singing or the band. I was just swooned by Nick's voice this first time I heard it on this exact song in 04? or 05? Back then it was Lamb of God. The best album ever to that point (Iowa). BTB&M But I've always had a great love for growl and harmony. Kittie had some beauts.

Saw these guys at the Hyamp in 2005. During their set, some guy hit my friend in the back of the head. It legitimately split his head open and briefly knocked him out on his feet. Nick stopped the show, lights on, and tore into the dude. The guy started being a smart ass, and as he tweaked his nips, nick spit a massive loogie (with passion and precision?) like 30+ feet directly into his face, before security dragged him out. Shit was absolutely legendary.
