It Feels Like Both the Knicks and Wolves Lost the Trade

One thing I’m ready to see is a 2nd option that Jalen Brunson can Lead. Randle played with Kobe, he ain’t letting Jalen or nobody check him. Especially in late game situations or heated moments (example: the Immanuel Quickley incident) KAT can be a force at a times , but I just like the idea of Ok now Jalen you have full control, full leadership. You’re captain. I felt like Randle and how he carries himself puts a wedge in giving Jalen full control. Dope breakdown my guy we need more of these

Me personally, Timberwolves: C- (C+ to B- at most) because you got a pick that’s basically just gonna be a second rounder in 3 years, got of KATs contract, and got a really capable 3&D backup guard. Issue is that you’re still gonna have to pay randle anyways (unless u can flip him) and the backup guard u got doesn’t want to be a backup (supposedly). ANT, this will truly determine if you’re MJs son cause if u can get to the rim with Gobert- Randle spacing you’re officially his son Knicks: B-, KAT is deepening that offense in ways that just looks too beautiful on paper. Issues are that KAT isn’t that good defensively and I don’t think OG can makeup for that the same way other 4s like JJJ would, u traded away Dante and Randle (who basically revived Knicks culture let’s be real), and it also just seems slightly unnecessary cause the way Knicks looked when OG and randle were both out there looked unstoppable. Edit: I was blown away at how stupid this trade was initially, hated it for both teams and really really hated it for the Knicks. But with time I’ve come to see some vision to it, we’ll just have to see going forward how well it holds up

I agree with everything you said. Said this in the video but I think there's more avenues for this to work for the Knicks if Towns cuts down on his dumb decision making and Thibs figures out what to do with him on defense. that being said Idk why the knicks didn't wanna see what they had with Randle and Co. I guess they were so far apart on money talks they knew a deal was never gonna get done

I think the KAT trade is great, but I think the Knicks massively overpaid for Bridges and I don’t think OG Anunoby is what Knicks fans make him out to be.

I think they overpaid for Bridges with picks because A. that meant giving up fewer players and B. they looked at the landscape and didn't see any superstar asking out soon so they figured they'd put all their chips in for one of the best high-end complimentary pieces in the league. And OG is exactly what Knicks fans make him out to be. health is literally the only issue

One thing to note about Randle, that's NOT his playstyle!!! Thibs MADE Randle an offensive engine on the Knicks. Go watch Randle's Pelicans highlights when he was the 6th man. Randle does not NEED the ball to be relevant I promise.

Don’t get the Randle hate. In what 4/5 years he was 3 time all star 2 time all nba. Towns doesn’t have this fantastic rep,Ask jimmy buckets
