Your first video on the original ones I ran out and bought them. Not bright enough but caused model to squint. I am not sold on the led light setup for key light they may be ok for background like . I think the flash idea is great, and now it works with Godox is great too but I have strobes that are lighter weight and smaller size with fold up softbox. For me strobes are the best set up. Price is another thing. $1400. I can buy 2 Flashpoint TTL ad600pro's $649 each and a trigger for that price. Great video and information, not a great product for me.

If you want to do photo sessions while traveling, e.g. on the beach, will one Neo 3 on a tripod be enough to illuminate the model?

They're nice lights (I've got one) but way too harsh even with their diffuser (still waiting on their bowens mount so you can attach real modifiers). They're also WAY too expensive. Rotolight needs to drop the price by about $200-300 for the amount of light they actually produce and output (it's on par with an 6 year old Astra 6x).

I mean there great. What Aperture and Godox are doing is crazy good too. Nice thing about roto is there continuously on or flash lights. Also there’s an R90 soft box that works with bowens - buy the Godox bowens Mount and the Rotolight s bracket for it with the R90 soft box and your good to go!

The price is extreme for what’s offered. For me they’re still not the high end lights they’re pricing themselves as. Replace the plastic body with light weight alloy or high impact resin. With each generation they address a few issues from the past generation. But most of these issues should’ve been addressed in the 1st generation like Elinchrom, diffuser and so on. I’ve gone through too many broken rotolights from the gel holder to the power port cover. This is real world production where we light massive sets. Congrats but me I have no need for someone else’s presets. Just give me a user bank of 100 slots for my own presets. If you give me Vittorio Storarro’s presets maybe I’d take a look just for fun. Improve the stands and head mounts in the kits, not safe.

Whoa...nice one Miguel, but when I clicked on the link see site how much they cost 😲. Too much for me I can't afford this I'm just a poor part time pro photographer/videographer. I only have an A7 III and just use a Godox TT685s as flash and 4 Yongnuo YN300 III and Air II for video lights.

The price point makes it a hard sell against standard strobes and cheap gels. Not too many folks are talking about this light or using it for photography on KZbin. Almost everyone is using wescott or Godox.

These lights are way over priced for an average working photographers! You can get a couple of flashpoint explorer 400 pro’s and they work great!

Different tools for different situations. You know I love my strobes but these lights definitely have advantages that strobes don't have. The build quality on these versus a Flashpoint light isn't even in the same league either. So long as those lights are treating you right, all is well with the universe 😁👍
