We are in total agreement on Iglesias. Mentor for youthful Mets coming up. They’re playing somewhere this season at some point and Jose’s influence on Acuña was awesome!! Mets SHOULD make it happen but for all the reasons you laid out, I understand if not. So, one last time: O….MY..GOD!! OMG

In the final analysis, he wanted to stay and Alonso was able to save face . He has a chance to have a better regular season than last year. Postseason heroics notwithstanding. Im working on the dog / cat subscription.

Should Stearns wait for the deadline to trade for a potential frontline starter? There are so many unknowns in the Mets farm (Jett, Gilbert, Acuña) that could be worth seeing what 4 more months bring.

I mean he was the most clutch hitter on the team with RISP...was not just a gimmick...but because there isn't much playing time for him, I think he goes elsewhere.
