Right now our focus is on their new baby and watching her adjust to a news place and hopefully have more freedom. They have waited a long time for Gerda. ✌️

I had a silly grin on my face the whole video. I was so proud of Gerda! You can tell that Sasha knows about big cats. He let Gerda lead the whole time, and never pulled the leash. He paused as long as she wanted to. When it was food time, he moved the food to Gerdas safe place, so not to mess with the established routines.

She is a beautiful leopard and has a wonderful disposition and is very smart. With patience and time she will probably accept Messi as a companion at least for walks and play. I don't know if Messi will accept her in the house you share with him as that really is his territory. But time will tell. Gerda left the aviary as she had always been used to walk in the garden.... Weeks of observation behind the fences have taught her that the ground was a safe place. She trust her owners and they know how to respect her pace.. Never pushing her... As many of us, I suppose, I had never seen a cheetah with such a precision. It is a beautiful animal.
