I had the opportunity to meet Chris while my daughter attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan while he was home taking care of his mother who was ill. First , what a selfless act for a young man to put his career on hold. Secondly, what a fine young man his mother raised. Thirdly, he was just an all around nice person and so very down to earth. He thought I needed one of his promo photos so he autographed it for me! I still have it. My heart breaks for his family. Rest in peace til we meet again.

I was only 11 when I first heard Dream Street. They were like a younger version of backstreet boys. They had the talent in both singing and dancing. Kids made fun of me back then for liking a boy band. But in the end, I didn't care what anyone thought. Dream Street was my favorites back in those days. It's a shame that they broke up in 2002. If it wasn't for that lawsuit, they would've been at the top of the mountain. I'm now 30 years of age and still listen to them to this day. I didn't hear about Chris Trousdale's death from covid-19. until today. I was so shocked and sad. This covid-19 has taken away some amazing people. Chris has a great amount of talent even went on the voice and it was a damn shame that no one wanted him. Chris will be missed dearly and condolences to his family and those close to him. It's great to see them reunited, but I know they didn't wanna do this way. In the end, this was a beautiful tribute. We love you Chris, may you rest in peace. This shows everyone to take this seriously. This is no joke. Wear a mask, social distancing, wash your hand for 20 seconds, and stay protected. Stay safe everyone.

I was 13 when I first heard of Dream Street, they had to disband when I was 16. When I found a reunion video, I thought they'd still be social-distancing . . . how wrong I was. I, unfortunately, had no idea that Chris had COVID-19, nonetheless passed from it, until recently. Due to that, I'm ashamed of myself. R.I.P. Chris😭

I read that Trousdale was actually having a pretty successful solo career. And it was taking off but he had to stop to take care of his mom who was ill. Then thats when he was trying to get back on track. I give him a lot of respect for basically giving up everything to take care of the person he loves the most, his mom. It’s tough to jump back on track after taking a long break. But he did it for a real important reason. I would of done the same. RIP Chris!!
@sorrygoogle7460
@sorrygoogle7460 3 жыл бұрын
Why the fuck are you lying? No he didn't. He was black listed after stabbing his band members in the back. His mom and his manager were the reasons behind the conflicts of the group. He had no solo career. He never put out an album. He never put out an EP. He never put out a single. He was dropped from his record label he had with Columbia. And he was pulled from every tour(Aaron Carter, Play, Boyz & Girlz, A*Teens) because of his douche manager and his attitude of being 'all that'. The best he could get were those telethon gigs. Also didn't even have a record label besides for that scam of a company, Spectra Music Group. Chris was barely making ends meet; he had two other roommates while living here in CA. He was constantly working three to five jobs an year just to afford to record songs and do a music video here or there. The good thing about Chris is that as he got older, he started to realize he was blacklisted. He became nicer, sweeter, more of a team player. It was too late. Damage was done. He was a good guy but sadly, his mom and manager f*cked him up when young.

It’s_Champ_Boys From a NYT article written in 2002: That afternoon in the Galasso's living room, one member of the band is conspicuously absent: 17-year-old Chris Trousdale (the tanned fashion plate), **who took the side of the producers in the legal battle**. Like the other boys, Chris is a veteran of Broadway. (''I was in 'The Wizard of Oz.' I played lead munchkin, flying monkey, Emerald City person, and a poppy.'') Unlike them, he does not have parents who are worried about the producers -- his recently widowed mom was suffering from what she calls ''complete depression'' during much of the Dream Street controversy, and all the wrangling only made her more depressed. Pt 2- All I wanted,'' Helena Trousdale says, ''was for Chris to be able to have his career. We moved to New York for his career.'' While the other boys' careers have stalled, Chris's is booming. He recently signed with Columbia Records. He has a movie in the works and has appeared on Nickelodeon and at the Miss Teen U.S.A. pageant, where he sang a duet with the teenage-girl band Play. Chris describes intense competition among the boys of Dream Street to seem desirable to the girls. When he got a tan, the girls noticed, and the next thing he knew, one of the other boys would be tanned, too. When he got his hair tipped, that was copied as well. Talking to the other boys, it's clear there's jealousy and bitterness around the subject of Chris. Jesse ran into Chris at an audition for a Domino's commercial. ''He tried to hug me and act all nice,'' he says bitterly. Jesse remembers stiffening in his old bandmate's embrace. ETA: in other articles it’s clearly written they were all kicked out of their contracts BUT they were no longer allowed to appear as Dream Street or sing DS songs

I never got to see Dream Street in person when I was younger, so it was always a dream of mine to someday see all five of you at a reunion show and buy my own ticket as an adult... All those times I replayed the Dream Street Live concert and The Biggest Fan DVDs, all the scratches I made on my album because I took it everywhere in my CD player/the family van, all those hours I spent hanging out on message boards and fan sites on dial-up internet (omg lol), all the days I listened to Radio Disney, all the magazines I begged my parents to buy, all the countless posters I had on my walls... I'm sure there's more! haha but Thank you guys for the memories. I will forever cherish them! And of course you would make me cry at 10 and 30 😂 Happy Birthday Chris! Love you and rest easy ♥
