I simply hit the "thumbs-up" before even watching/listening when it comes to you guys! (Out of fear that I'll "get into it" so much I'll forget to "like" before it's done!) lol, I've noticed that has happened often with videos of performances that I really like! Oh well, at least there's that "view-count" that I have contributed to! As of this new year, I am currently working on doing an album of public domain songs to "exploit" for commercial gain! ("Ain't Misbehavin' came into the public domain in 2025 and it is what sparked my interest in such a project!) I'm a fan of Elmore James and all those old blues artists whom were captured in the early days of recording technology!) Man oh man! The 20th century was just, like WOW! compared to the times before!

Wow! Now THAT was nothing short of amazing, you two!! Incredible! Ashley, have you guys ever considered covering Kate Wolf? Check out her song "Green Eyes". I think you two could really do it justice! Happy New Year! 🤩✌

I know this song from the Ron McKernan-sung version on the Grateful Dead's Europe '72 album. Compared to that, I hear that you've adjusted the lyrics to be gender-neutral. I suppose a woman singing the older lyrics might make them sound feminist, whereas when Pigpen sang them, they sounded like a mix of protectiveness and jealousy.

There are a LOT of lyrics out and about for this song, so many interpretations through the years, in fact Elmore James added the first verse that is so popular, but it wasn't part of the original song!
