I think the issue is with the age. If we are graduating from a government university, at least our age would be 24 or 25 when we enter to industry (mostly the internships are in the final year in government universities). When we compare with someone in a private institute, they enter to the industry when they are 21 or 22. So the private institute student is 2 to 3 years ahead in experience even though they don't have much educational background(Most of the private universities allow following degrees part-time, so they can work in internships from first year). When we compare the curriculum, private institutes teach directly what they need for industry(frameworks, etc.) but when it comes to government universities they mostly learn fundaments and theories. So private institute students can easily get into their entry-level jobs. And also if we think about social norms, there are things like we have to buy a car before 25, build a house before 28 and marry before 30. I think with all these government university students are under pressure and stress about their lives than a private institute student. Just an example if we get same-age government and private uni students, when government one searching for internships the private one is in ASE or SE level.

NOO.. this is the easiest path. You can just continue your path. I am talking about the easiest way without putting lot of money. Cos, doing your A/Ls and going to a Uni is the most cost effective way!

yes it is a good company. But you know you always should seek on new opportunities outside srilanka. better exposure, better tech stacks, very high salaries are the main benefits of having working with foriegn companies remotely.

I've clearly stated that if you're seeking a straightforward, unobstructed path, completing your Advanced Levels (A/Ls) and attending a university is essential. If you prefer to start with IT shops, you can do so, but be aware that you might find yourself at a standstill midway through your journey. If you can join a live meeting with me and demonstrate your success without having completed A/Ls, then I will be convinced. 😀 Look, I understand the industry well; we entered it 7 years ago and have since worked alongside engineers from top companies like Google and Amazon, staying abreast of the latest trends. Therefore, I'm familiar with the most straightforward path. Let's not mislead students into enrolling in 'IT degree කඩ '. NOT APPLIED FOR EXCEPTIONAL STUDENTS WITH BORN TALENT. ONLY 1% OF LIKE THAT.
