I usually use waveshaper for either distortion or compress, or soft clipper for the compress when I made kicks. (I add soft clipper in the master in this video 0:52)

those are kinda dead in these days' electronic music people will just soft clip and hard clip peaks, it's easier to get louder

@@alphahell yeah i mean me too they are very useful but what i mean is nowadays for most stuff like big kicks and sub bass which are sounds without much dynamic range people will just hard clip the hell out of those sounds cause it is easier to master loud at the end haha

@@alphahell Its okay! actually there are lots of ways to master the kick. I just want to make the kick volume more balanced and not too distorted. Thats why I just used soft clipper or waveshaper! Just like @isaacsanchez7317 said LOL
