Better trellising than myself. Also didn't know about needing to buffer. Only heard that they had to be rinsed. I wonder if you can DIY the buffering with some common household product, like baking soda? Don't really understand what buffering is. With fish aquariums you buffer using oyster shells/calcium to keep the PH stable. Is that what you are doing? If so, is the PH to alkaline? Maybe adding chicken scratch/oyster shell will work? Sorry about all the questions. Maybe, I can just google it, but it is better for your channel if we make a comment, so I am there for you Miro.

Something stronger than coffee? I propose coffee administered intravenously 😊That way your hands will be free to deal with all the plant chores. We have learnt from several plant KZbinrs that sometimes plants thrive when they are neglected. Perhaps that was your strategy for that grow tent of shame - the plants survived!

Working on lots of hoya projects here too. Trying to redistribute them to other rooms, which means figuring out how to set up the right environment before I can move them. Some are getting trellised, some involve repotting two of the same variety up together for more fullness. I have multiple varieties of lacunosa and khroniana that I am thinking about potting up together in a shallow terracotta planter. Have not been able to get either of the latter to bloom yet.. Can relate to never having enough time to get them done in the time frame you think you can. As always, love your videos and always learn from them. Than you!

I have also potted some lacunosas together - different clones, that are distinct enough that I cannot mistake them for one another. I did this for 'Mathilde' + 'Chouke', griffithii + some similar looking cross (unknown) and some others :) Good idea and instant full pot!

I actually had to "untrellis" my Hoya Khroniana "Eskimo". In all my years, I've never had to battle anything except spider mite and fungus gnats (one year). But this plant came with baby mealy bugs...and while you were "trellising" amazing plants...I was cleaning this one.

I went to repot Hoyas this week…now I have no room anywhere for more propagations as at least 10 decided to unalive their roots. I have decided any Hoya that come to me in anything but chunky mix or pon will be repotted immediately. It never fails that if I wait the roots will unalive themselves.

Don't bend them too much :) Also, wider tower trellises work well. If you can support the vine in several places, it helps as well. In the end, breaking the vine is not the end of the world either (but I also hate it when it happens, so I understand)
