I just learned this a day or so ago. We all have a major nerve called the vagus nerve; two of them actually, on either side of our heads. They have branches, one of which is the auditory branch of the vagus nerve, running near the ear canal. Her ministrations can stimulate that branch, which also stimulates the coughing reflex.

This is so dangerous. I had a coworker who done this same thing in the Philippines and the ladie busted his ear drum and had to have surgery. Never ever ever let some random person die this. Only a real ENT doctor should do this. Playing with fire here. I can also guarantee you that instrument has other people's ear wax on it. Nasty infections possible

Jason great video, based on the redness around your eyes and nose you might becoming down with a cold, remember your eyes , ears and throat are all connected so if there’s blockage in your ear it can go into your throat causing you to cough.
