I know it's long but THIS IS HOW KING CRIMSON WORKS (Absolutely positive) : King Crimson's ability is activated: Whatever actions were to proceed after the ability has been activated will continue to take place. In other words the destiny (the pre-determined path set out by the universe) of EVERY AND ANYTHING that inhabits the universe will continue to unfold. However, What has changed is: That for the next 10 seconds all living things are robbed of their consciousness of the passage of time. Diavolo will maintain his consciousness; *Diavolo will be treated as a discontinuity in the universe and as such cannot interact, obstruct or be affected by the destiny of anything else. In other words, any action that would have otherwise had an effect or would have interacted with Diavolo is nullified. However, Diavolo can freely position himself wherever he likes in space. Once the 10 ten seconds are up: Diavolo will no longer be a discontinuity, and will re-assume his position in relative space and once again will have an influence on the world around him. In a sense one can say that King Crimson erases Diavolo's destiny for the next 10 seconds.

its erasing the cause without erasing the consequences. anything that happens within erased time cannot affect Diavolo because that time, for him, is erased. it also allows Diavolo to see what happens in the erased time in frame-by-frame. it's how he was able to catch Trish in the elevator and how he was able to make Aerosmith's bullets fly through him. nobody but him is aware that time just skipped. in the most simple way that i can think of, in sequence of events that goes A>B>C, king crimson can skip event B, and things would go from A>C

Consider Diavolo walking up to you to hit you(Event A). You have tons of options to counter or avoid this or there may even be interference from other sources(Event B). Diavolo hits you(Event C). While the chronological sequence should be ABC(considering you got hit) with a chance for the action B to change the outcome C. King Crimson's ability causes event B to be skipped over altogether, and gets to event C. This ability while overpowered has its limits. Two of its main limitations are: 1. The outcome C has to be realistic and achievable. Diavolo also should at least have a general idea as to how to achieve C(Eg. to achieve Heaven, Diavolo can't skip the Ascension part) 2. The outcome C has to be completed within King Crimson's timeframe(Eg. If Diavolo wants to travel from Venice to Sicily and tries to skip the journey, it won't work. Most likely he'll find himself 100 metres from his starting point and between Venice and Sicily, considering he runs like Usain Bolt)

If he's in the "erased time," the opponent will be shooting a gun at where Diavolo _should_ be, but the shooter is unable to perceive that Diavolo is moving. When King Crimson "erases time," everything except Diavolo is set on doing whatever it was gonna do before the time-erasure started. This allows Diavolo to be pretty much invincible, as he goes," Oh, you were about to punch my face? Well I'll just walk behind you and make you a donut." Once the time-erasure is done, Diavolo has now changed position and his opponent is super confused. Tl;dr is basically King Crimson taking away anyone's ability to react to new information for ten seconds.

One Stand only has one ability, that is stated many times in JoJolion and is one of the reasons people can tell when there's more than one Stand involved. The only exceptions are with Requiems or with the Arrow piercing your body a second time. Star Platinum's precision and accuracy is simply due to its natural points, in no way is it some sort of power. That's only what they used in its introduction because it really didn't show any sort of supernatural ability specific to it. After all, it's something that can be trained (take for example Josuke training his accuracy during his fight with the rats). A substand like KQ's second bomb would therefore have to have the same ability as the main stand but with different properties (here, being automatic and indestructile but those aren't special powers either, just stats). Who holds the ownership of Epitaph has never been truly explained, Doppio would be the most logical but when he dies, the Stand remains and can be controlled by Diavolo, so yeah, pretty weird.

That's because it is. It's a sub-stand of KC. Doppio can use it because he shares the same body as Diavolo, just like Dio could use Jonathan's stand while still having his own distinct stand. When they split he couldn't use a Diavolo's stand anymore because he didn't have one himself because he has no body to stick with the Arrow, as he's a purely mental construct born from Diavolo's desire for no one to know him as his true self. If Doppio does possess stand, it may even be the one that let's them physically change form, ala Khnum. A bound-stand stand with no form but was attached to Diavolo's body since that's the body he had at the time.

I always just assumed that Stands were tied to the body, unless they were automated Stands. That's why Dio has two stands, one from Jonathan's body that lingered after his death, and one that became tied to Dio's body once it had assimilated Jonathan's body. Diavolo gets two when the split happens because they're tied to the body. After all, if the soul is what carried the Stand, then why does Alessi's Stand reduce both Jotaro and Polnareff's stand when their spirit and mind is every bit as strong?

Have you read part 5? Silver Chariot Requiem swaps the souls of people. Yet they all keep there stands. They don't get the stands of the body they are put in. It's Araki's inability to portray his stands powers consistently that is the real problem. The more simple a stand is, the easier it is for Araki to remember how it f**king works. The stands in Jojo never work the way they are suppose to when they first appear. Remember Highway Star's illusion room, Gold Experience's life-form karma attack, and Diver Down's kinetic energy trigger mines. All of these abilities were discarded or changed because Araki doesn't think ahead with his writing. He just does it.

I feel like I have a good idea about King Crimson's ability He can 1) see the future with Epitaph (the little head) 2) Change time into this state where nothing can affect him and everyone loses there memory of what happens in that time 3) in Crimson Time™ they continue with what they were doing without knowing what's going on. For example, if they were about to take a drink of water before King Crimson's ability was activated, they will continue to even if they were being beaten up by Diavolo. They wouldn't dodge or block, they would continue what they were doing and forget those seconds 3.5) it's not that K.C. can only activate Crimson Time™ for a couple seconds, it's that it can only activate it for the amount of time that that person is planning to move in the future. So if someone was going to take a drink of water, it would activate until they finish and then have to tell their brain to do something else, like putting the glass back down. Because if he could do it for as long as he wants then it would practically just be The World except time keeps moving but everyone is frozen. 4) He can make people see themselves in the future with Epitaph which is how Bruno saw himself in the future in The Mystery Of King Crimson Part 2 And since he can see the future and nothing affects him and everyone loses their memories of that state is AS IF he erased time

My good friend asked me how King Crimson works and I figured out a really good way of explaining it. Imagine you're editing a video, and you highlight the part you want to delete, so time then seemingly skips forwards, but in reality it was an erasure of the time in that selected slot. Diavolo is like the one editing, only he saw what happened in the part he deleted. Everyone watching notices this cut, just like a viewer would notice a cut in a video.
