SCP-3008 is a large retail unit that was once owned by the famous furniture retail chain IKEA. Personnel entering from the main entrance and looking through the door will find themselves teleported to SCP-3008-1. Such changes are generally undetected, and there is no change from the perspective of the victims; they generally cannot detect until they try to return.
SCP-3008-1 is a space similar in appearance to the interior of an IKEA furniture store, and its extension far exceeds the physical limit of the original retail unit. Current measurements indicate that the area is at least 10 square kilometers, with no internal terminals visible in any direction. The laser rangefinder failed to get results, speculating that the space may be infinite.
Prior to containment, SCP-3008-1 had housed an unknown number of trapped civilians. The data collected indicate that they have formed a primary civilization within SCP-3008-1, including the establishment of settlements and fortifications to resist SCP-3008-2.
SCP-3008-2 is a humanoid entity that exists within SCP-3008-1. Although its appearance is similar to that of humans, it has exaggerated and uncoordinated body proportions, and is often described as too tall or too short. They have no facial features, and all observed individuals wore yellow shirts and blue pants, consistent with IKEA employee uniforms.
SCP-3008-1 has a preliminary day-night cycle, which is determined by turning on/off the overhead lights in the space with the opening/closing of the original store. During "night" SCP-3008-2 instances will display violence to other life forms within SCP-3008-1. During their violent attacks, they could be heard uttering English sentences, usually various kinds of "This shop is closed, please leave the building". Once the "day" begins, SCP-3008-2 will immediately become passive, initially seeming to wander around SCP-3008-1 randomly. They will not respond to queries or other verbal prompts in this state, but they will still resort to violence if attacked.
One or more exits are known to exist inside SCP-3008-1, but they do not seem to have a fixed location, making it difficult to leave once inside SCP-3008-1. If you use any door outside the main entrance to enter the building, or break the store wall to enter, you can only enter the non-anomalous interior of the original store.
14 people have left SCP-3008 since containment. These personnel were amnesticized and released after extensive reporting of the situation.
