back in 2013 when I made my own 3d printer, I designed up a dodecahedron speaker ball. I used the guts of a cheap bluetooth speaker, and 6 pair of speaker cones. The sound quality wasn't great, but it really sounded like the sound was coming from that specific spot. if you played a voice, it sounded like it was coming from a person speaking in the room, because it was reflecting sounds off the wall behind it.

You totally missed the point, it's a variable surround pocket. It's so wherever you happen to decide to sit, when listening, you can slide the sound pocket to correspond with your location. Its so you can get true 360 sound, wherever your located, rather than having a fixed location for your optimal surround sound pocket, like most systems do...
