Jonny Lindos Maybe. Mr. King is the one author who I buy his books when they are published. So my copy of IT is when I bought it in September 1986.

I don't mean to tell you what to do, It was just my experience that reading the book first spoils the Movie. They can't possibly get EVERYTHING that was in the book into a 2 hour movie, so I was really disappointed in the movie. I already knew too much and wondered where that was at. I find watching the movie first, put the characters in your head and as you're reading you can almost see them plus a LOT more. :O)

Saw this opening night loved it. A classic. It broke horror records and. Box office records for the genre and September sales. I love Horror but lol sadly never scared I laughed throughout the film. Great pace and cannot wait for the next 2 instalments

I'm a huge stephen king fan. I've read this book over 100x and when the original mini series came out i was disappointed because it didn't live up to the novel. Hopefully this does. looks scary as hell.

I was a die hard fan as well... I watched jason, freddy and other scary movies when i was around 5-6.... I have seen this so many times in the Movie Theater and i finally took my roomie and she was going ballistic... She hates scary movies... LOL

I love Stephen King! Especially IT so I was excited for the remake but I couldnt stop laughing when I saw this trailer. The original is amazing and so far I dont think this one will match up to it, I hope they prove me wrong though.

lilmissangelable If you are a Stephen King fan then by the novel (if you read it) you should know that the miniseries is a piece of shit and totally inaccurate. Even Stephen King himself said that the miniseries is a stupid fun. We should judge by the source material after all.

So I'm 41, I've seen and read a LOT of Stephen King movies/books and they ALWAYS disappoint in the end. His stuff starts out strong, but by the end of the movie unravels. It starts out with Pennywise the creepiest clown in the universe and it ends with a big spider with a glowing belly flying through pipes. It makes NO SENSE. I even went to a movie on time, blind, not knowing anything about the movie, and it started out strong and scary and by the end of the movie it was completely lame, and lo and behold it turned out to be based on a Stephen King book.

I guess you have not read the original book by Stephen King? I have not either, but it is commonly known that the 90's film adaptation left a lot of things out and the whole spider ending was thrown in there just for the film. So worry not, it seems this new movie adaptation follows more closely to book.
