Way too many abbreviations to be of any use as an introduction to the topic. Also with pointless comments like "you don't want people from IT in your IT/OT integration team, because it won't get you respect" you're just contributing to the problem that you just described (clash of culture, bias etc.). This is business, not a prison where you hit the toughest guy in the face to earn respect. You should be doing the opposite of what you described, i.e. bring the right people (yeah also from IT) together at the same table (and yeah also have the IT guys be part of your "competence center") and figure things out collaboratively instead of creating your own little silo. Wouldn't be surprised if your little "competence center" got stomped due to ineffectiveness (judging by the demonstrated mindset) already. ;^)
