Hi Joanne, my favorite today was the Canada goose. I had read a number of years ago that they mate for life. The story was in Guideposts, something happened to the female goose that lived on a pond near the writer’s home. The male goose was so lost without his mate. The husband of the home found a young female goose on another pond and brought her to the lonely male. His wife saw what her wonderful husband had done…….the male goose welcomed his new friend and hopefully new mate. His wife realized what a special man she had married, one that would help to make a lonely and broken-hearted goose happy! I loved this story and remember it often. Hi. Joanne. Getting so excited to see your daughter's room you are doing over. I am sure it will be amazing. The hearts are very pretty. Like the tiered tray. One of my favorites. Also like the little woven basket. It is so cute. Another favorite is the Halloween mug. So adorable. The Santa teapot is also very cute. Like him too. Always think the Willow Trees are so sweet. I often think of my parents when I see the geese in my neighborhood. Many animals mate for life. I just found out the other day that wolves also mate for life. I love wolves. I think they are amazing creatures. Wishing you a wonderful week. Hugs.

Hi, Joanne! Love the goose. My late boyfriend would have loved it too. Every time I see geese by my Meijer’s store, I think of him. Once in awhile there would be geese in the front of the store and I drive behind the store and there is one goose just walking around and eating. When I see him I pull as close as I can get to him and will talk to him. And he’ll talk back to me. 😂 It makes me feel close to my boyfriend. Hugs to all!🐈‍⬛💜🥰

I pulled up to our local Legacy Thrift(I have called it the Chinese Bible Store since it opened many years ago, as it is a mission for one of our churches) and there was a really pretty floor lamp sitting on the side walk by the donation door. One the volunteers was standing by the door and I asked him if it was sold. He said no and I could have it if I wanted it. Of course I did and ask why. The concrete in the bottom was badly disintegrating . So we just got a plastic bag and tied it around the bottom to bring home. My husband said if wouldn't be a big deal to fix it, so I got a nice lamp for free. It had a beautiful shade on it... not original, but very nice.

I love the goose first, he looks very majestic. Then the Angel, because i collect Angels. You can never have too many angels around you. Lol then both lamps. Love ❤️ them. I like the wooden goose, too - and the little Willow Tree angel holding the flowers behind her back. The lamps will be phenomenal in Kaitlyn’s library, as will my absolute favorite piece, which is the Williamsburg schematic. I don’t think the damage matters - it just adds character. Hugs! BTW - I think most women who wore the zip-up “control” panties generally wore regular panties under them.

You are right about that. That was worn over your undies as a sort of girdle...firm you up a bit so you wouldn't jiggle.🙂🙂🙂 It was definitely part of a working woman's wardrobe in the 50's and 60's (at least in mine)LOL.
