Love copperheads!!!! Thanks for sharing your budget collection. I would love to see your Case collection. I wish Case would offer the copperhead all the time and not put it in the vault. I am planning on switching to copperlocks and canoes when they are gone. We have to keep the interest going for this pattern. Maybe the knife companies will listen to us someday!

A Copperhead will always float my boat and usually have one in my pocket here in the UK usually my RR damascus stag bone or my green jigged bone Marbles. Not got a collection like yours but will add to it when I can. Do like that Hen and Rooster as they are not common here and that handle colour is stunning.

Dig that color; reminds me of a knife I bought when I got to Bellingham for a friend's wedding and then gave it to them as a wedding present when I left to fly home. No idea what brand; certainly nothing I'd heard of at the time.

I'm the opposite, I love winter. lol I really like the cold weather, the only thing about winter that I don't like is the icy roads. That copperhead looks wonderful, I absolutely love the color of those covers, and the ringed bolsters are a nice touch. Very handsome knife in my opinion, good on you for getting your hands on that one! Cheers, buddy!

Glad to see you’re happy with the Hen and Roosters knife. I bought a pearl mini trapper from them for my niece for Christmas for over a hundred dollars on Amazon. It arrived with the shield loose in the box and the hole for it in the handle was not even round. I returned it and posted pictures in my review. The review is still up but it seems to be unavailable now. I’ll never buy another Hen and Rooster or anything else from Frost. I ended up getting a Case mini copperlock in antique smooth bone for her.

I think Copperhead is great for a pocket knife, no upstanding tangs to snag, I have the single blade version from Case, wish budget makers put some single bladed ones out, I just don't like two blade version, got to say that colour is really nice on your Hen and Rooster though.

Boker, brotherman. Especially the beer barrel copperhead. I recommend that one if you can find one on EBay. Carbon blades. Good medium size. Nice and sturdy piece.

Hey Pete, I don't have any copperheads but just ordered the RR in buckshot I can barely stand waiting to get it. Would love to see the case collection I didn't get a case copperhead cuz it is longer than the Rough Rider I know I know only 1/8 in but I don't like a bulky pocket knife and I say that as I'm carrying a Victorinox Ranger today LOL

I've checked Roper and Cattleman's Cutlery for you and you're right Pete, they don't make copperheads. The Hen & Rooster is nice deep seagreen handlecovers, the shield is sunk so no worries scratching that one. You might take the chance and check some more of them out. I think TK said he paid $8 @ Chicago Knife Works (They are Sold Out of them now) anyway I paid double what TK did & i still Love the knife! I think you would too!

You need to go for the Steel Warriors. They make a different style. Nice looking H&R. Like the bone color.

I really like the pattern but I'm not crazy about clip blades (I know, blasphemy!). Case makes a great looking Wharncliffe copperhead with a pen blade secondary. I'll have to save up for that one, but wish a budget brand made that version. Nice H&R you scored there. Stay warm!

Nice collection, mate. I love traditional knives but I don't like heavy slipjoints. I reckon I'd got for a single bladed copperhead. I bought a RR Denim Canoe in Carbon Steel. It's a great knife and very well designed and built. But it's a little too heavy for my EDC taste. I don't do more than three ounces.

You might find a Chief Brand here and there. Colt also made them but hard to find now.

My hen and rooster canoe is my snappiest walking and taking knife : the main blade just doesn’t have great cutting geometry unlike these blades. I consider my canoe and eye and hand and ear piece as opposed to a serviceable tool . That’s just my opinion and it’s small ish
