We ate vegetarian food for Rs 8. With a piece of fried mackerel Rs 10. And a banana Tired and Hungry I could afford to eat this only once a week - it was luxury . Drank strong chai for Rs 0.50 and 2 bananas for Rs 1.00 and killed hunger a few days Or the other days it was roti and sugar for lunch. Some times I still pray , only if we could fill our stomachs with air and water . It kills us with acidity .!!!
