These are great for bikers too they act as a cushion between your packs on the bike and the bodywork to prevent damage to paint from buckles and zips.

Hey thanks for the video! I was curious. My backpack is small so I can take it on Ryanair flights. So every extra thing is already too much. Unless the purpose is important enough. Is it even comfortable to sit on? Do you really need it? In principle you could just sit at the entrance of your tent right? And when it is sunny you could sit on the grass. I am curious what you think? Thanks again!

Hi @jeroeny! I totally understand, all weight adds up so this is totally up to your preference! A sit pad is a luxury item, but one that I’ve come to really appreciate it. It is not necessary if you’re trying to cut weight, but on trips where I’ve expected wet conditions I’ve found that it’s really helpful in keeping my feet dry when getting in and out of my tent, my butt dry when taking a break, and even nice to set gear or clothing on that I don’t want getting wet or muddy. Totally your call!

There is no need to pay $25 bucks for a sitting pad. Get 5 of them for $5 on Ali. They will outlast you. And buy either green or orange colors if you don’t wanna lose or forget them. This comes from a guy with 16 years of experience. Don’t be a gear snob be a savage.
