And funfact this is Jungkook, Namjoon and Taehyung's one of favourite songs. You can watch many video were award shows whenever Boombayah is played they always lose their shit and dance to Boombayah😂. I am supporting these girls since their debut. I remember during their debut their was big excitement and curiosity for many people for YGE's new girl group because YGE was debuting a girl group after 7 years after 2NE1( Legends in Kpop and one of the best 2nd generation girl groups along with SNSD and Wonder Girls). Boombayah and Whistle both are their debut songs coz they both were released on same day and on same time. When Boombayah was released it instantly blowed all the charts. Boombayah holds the record of biggest debut by any group in the history of Kpop. It's the only debut song in entire Kpop with more than 1 Billion views. And thanks to that Blackpink created a new record of shortest time in which a girl group has won music show win after their debut. They did it in just 13 days after their debut. They introduced a fresh new concept in Kpop of girl crush and made it popular. And it became a trend which now days many new girl groups follow being inspired by that . And thanks to Teddy Park who is the main producer of Blackpink as well as many other artists of YGE. He has produced many other hit songs such as well known Gagnam Style by PSY, Bang Bang Bang and Fantastic Baby by Big Bang, I am the Best by 2NE1 and many more. He is one of the best producers in entire Kpop. He was once received offer by Lady Gaga but he refused it and joined YG Entertainment. ‘Boombyah’ was the very first Blackpink song i ever heard and it was this song that made me a blink (Blackpink fan), it was actually my brother who first introduced me to the girls and i fell in love with their vocals rapping and dance since then, i also love their styles as well. Like you said Rach this song is amazing for their debut song and the beat just makes you want to get up and dance especially the ‘Boombyah’ move as i always do that move. Also Lisa is the maknae and she has been my bias since i first got into them as i just love her rapping and she is also so beautiful.

This WAS their debut!!! Something about this and just the cool fireyness of WHISTLE said very loudly, "We have ARRIVED!!!" It was a resounding explosion. They achieved what the last 4 girl groups were going for,... a super cute badassery. It's Blackpink! They did it with these smooth stylings, vocals, dance moves, fashions, make up,... everything is on point. Then to put them on game shows, variety shows and their own reality shows. And to have them walk out with us KNOWING they could slay us with vocals, dance, and some seriously intelligent fun personalities,... To have Lisa freestyle dance or Rose pick up a guitar and start singing,... it's almost too much to take how talented they are. SOOOO ENTERTAINING!! You can see why fans love them.
