The Getty Villa Museum in Pacific Palisades is a transport to the ancient world, housing Greek and Roman art in a re-created Roman seaside home along Pacific Coast Highway.

I’ve taken A LOT of out of town visitors (visiting from the Flyover states) to the Getty Villa. They were ALL very impressed, and their views about hating L.A. (they ALL hate L.A.) changes somewhat to see more of L.A. than just the beach, and Disneyland.

Been a few times... and it's a gem that will knock your socks off!! Free, but requires a timed reservation. Underground parking is $20, but admission is indeed free. Due to location, there is no other parking, being built into the coast. There is also an eatery onsite, or picnics are welcomed too. GO!! You'll love it!

Nobody can even travel locally nobody has money nor the time because they’re trying to figure out how to get a job working more hours. Nobody has aspirations to go to Europe and they wouldn’t go to the Getty

The first time I went, I was young and poor. Authentic appreciation for art has no price. There's plenty of tacky & tasteless rich people. Money does not mean artistic aptitude. If there is a will, there is a way! 😊
