Do away with chemical cleaners and other nasties after you've been working with pitch and use butter.
A trick taught me while I was in Holland a couple of decades ago. At the time I thought it was a wind-up but it turned out to be sound advice and one of the safest, quickest ways to clean away that pesky pitch when it's stuck to your skin.
