hello Liz and Charlie, what a treat to go along with you on this backpacking trip of yours. I enjoyed all of it. I was born in Morenci AZ, traveled a bunch, I came to Washington State in 1979 and have lived here ever since. I love this State it has such diverse areas, a Stunning coast line, Beaches, mountains, Rivers, Streams, Waterfalls, lakes, and flora and fauna, and Yes its smell is heaven to me. getting out doors here restores my soul even if its just a drive to point Defiance. Or right next door to where i live the Nisqually Delta. A lovely place to explore. Loved the small agates you found almost polished. loved the green stone, wondering if it came from Slitzeia. The petroglyphs photos were the best part. what a treat to see those. so well made. clearly inspired by the whales around here. I was near the water once night when I saw two orcas breach. it was quite a sight. I love all the tips and tricks you have to make what you do better. To Liz and her garbageraincoat. I get that, we were living here quite some time and when it rained I just took the scissors to a garbage bag. ha ha . never investing in a proper rain coat. I still do not have one, I love my umbrellas though.. Thanks for showing the way, and your photography skills are still the best Charlie., Welcome home. We love you and appreciate what you do.

What a beautiful video, we loved this video, especially how it started out, yes Charlie! What a beautiful hike, hearing the rain sound was so peaceful. That's so cool that of all the places you've been too, Washington is still your favorite, and I can see why. I love the all the trees and how old they are! I always try to touch the bigs ones and wonder whose been there. I love that connection with trees! Between trees and water, that's all we need in life, besides love. Beautiful view of the ocean, I'm sure that smell is amazing. Super cool seeing those big boulders way out there in the ocean! Good call setting your tent up back some, out od the direct wind from the ocean. Wow, the beach is amazing.... wow the whale bones are awesome, so cool, and interesting! Enjoy the fire, stay warm! Your right liz, walking into the sun is definitely a nice advantage, sea glass how cool. This world is amazing! So cool hearing the story about this area, thanks for sharing that Liz! Oh wow so cool seeing the old boat parts like that! Cool swings! I really enjoyed the different music you put in this one! Excellent shells and crab claw! Good tip about the the markers and hide tide! Can't wait to see what's ahead! I didn't know about you can't fly drones in a national forest, makes a lot of sense though.

Excellent rocks window, fantastic veiw from there, please tell me this was one of your pictures of the day, lol! Beautiful glass and agate, gorgeous! Wow that deer was so cool on the beach! Oh man that iron water, close your eyes! Beautiful eagles!!!! This video has it all, we'll done, wow! Me, Lily and Jameson enjoyed watching this on the TV! Jess is at a baby shower for her step sister. The water shouldn't taste too bad with the filters. On no, when the camera fell over! That sand dollar is awesome, nice amount of sea glass and colors! Your dance was my favorite part! Beautiful journey back through nature! I can't walk and drink, lol. What a beautiful adventure, loved this special so much!

What a beautiful hike! Reminds me of the west coast trail in BC. I’ve been to Washington state many times, and it’s very similar to southern BC. Coastal rainforest, mountains, desert etc. I am from Calgary Alberta and what you get here is what you’ll encounter in journeys through Montana. Can’t wait to see your adventures in the next chapter of the Adventure Closet.

Awesome kinda like an Adventure Closet movie. Watched it all on one go 👍 So many great views of the ocean and all the trees looked amazing on the trail. And great rocks, beach glass, awesome shells. Cool petroglyphs. And the sand dollar. Lots of great hiking tips, on what supplies are needed for an adventure like this. The color of the water good thing the filter was around. Hmm 🤔 Even I wonder why all the small agates have best banding. Was so fun to watch an adventure in our home state, the area was totally different from where I live. Thanks Liz and Charlie.

Had to watch that one in three parts, but I watched every minute of it. First, to answer Liz' question where everyone is from, I am from Wisconsin. I lived the greater part of my life in Illinois about an hour and a half SW of Chicago in a small town. Recently moved back to Wisconsin with my girlfriend and we've been here going on our 3rd year. We live less than a mile from Lake Michigan. Wisconsin is wayyy better than Illinois in nearly every way. Most of Wisconsin state parks and some other choice parks have to pay to park, just a heads up. Whereas Illinois most do not have to pay. But Wisconsin parks are much cleaner and better maintained. Wisconsin is very beautiful, especially up North. Michigan is very pretty too. To answer the other question, yes I have been to Washington. I was not a fan of Seattle. I'm sure it was nice at one time, but not so much now. Other than that I would say its very beautiful, and definitely near the top of most beautiful states. I prefer Oregon between the two. Maryland and Virginia are up there too. But, nothing holds a candle to Hawaii.....lol, maybe a bit outside of Opals capability at the moment. I am definitely putting that hike on my list! That was an excellent video! The petroglyph were a very cool surprise. So many amazing beach finds including all the rocks, bones and shells. Great camping spots. Those views were mystical! Really loved all the trees. And thank you for showing all the interesting fungi. The deer looked lonely. You were kind to it and sensed your good nature. 🙂 That water looked interesting, lol, but I'm sure it tasted ok after everything. The beach leg was my favorite. Really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing. Bye now
