Wood is super critical, especially early on. Make the improved axe And get every tree that is relatively close to the train that you pass by. It's definitely worth it, trust me. Getting structures up on both your train cars and getting it to a second story is crucial early on. That being said, keep playing however you want, I'm just happy you're playing this game again. Heads Up Kage, The revolver tosses away ammo if you reload early. Also, I've been using the Quality Axe as my primary melee weapon and its been great to just 1 shot most zombies, even spitters and cops if I can hit the chin right. Also, you can leave crafted items in the benches if you want lots of extra storage, I left 400 wood in the saw bench and almost 200 glass in the smelter and it has stayed through, level transitions and save/loading. Unfortunately, this does mean that you cannot move the workstations unless you empty them or it won't let you pick it up. But to be honest, Metal has been the thing really holding me back, just looting has gotten me way more wood and cloth than I can do anything with cause you still need at least some metal for construction.

Just wanted to mention it again, you have a big light on the back of your engine that will light up the entire back of the train until you are able to build electric lights, you can turn it on with the right side blue switch in the cab, also someone already mentioned getting better tools, you want to go right to the best tools the ones that need iron bars and the storage stairs are great but it does take a bit of room so best to build it early so you don't have to redo everything, You will need to put in a special roof 1st before you can do the stairs.

I don't know what you have your loot settings at but 15 water at 5:55 Is insane, I run 100% drop and had 2 water at that point. Watched you loot the fishing village and you won''t need food & water production, ammo benches, and no reason to waste time chopping trees. You will be swimming in goods in a few episodes and trowing it all away. I wish my play through would drop one of those hand grenades you seem to toss around like candy.😀

You can split items from the shelf by using the hot key. Drag to it then out. Also use energy drink to chop wood

Kage I was thinking, if you put the red barrels on the back of the train, if you drove through a herd of zombies, you could drop a red barrel and then fire at it and kill them and once all dead you could collect the loot bags they drop. Not sure if this is possible but “save” and test the theory 👍🏻

If you put some stairs, use the ones with storage (300kg)!!! Also,on the shelf you can stack the majority of the loot

those big shelves are the place to store Wood & Metal along with mech/elec parts. use the cabinets for food, ammo and tools. stacks of material on Shelves will place atop other items already present important note = Jerrycans weigh a lot, at best you can carry 3 and nothing else!

Kage, regarding the train walls, when you have to place another one down. Try putting on the train when you are stood on the ground and not on the train. When it’s built it (as you would be facing it from the other side) you should be able to see if it looks different.

Wrench the tires? It looked like that when you scanned across one with your wrench in your hand. But you move so quick sometimes. But, makes sense if you make tire armor.

The cabin your talking about is at the end of the road on the right of the train. Turn right after house past the store leads to the mansion

Ok, because I'm just this much of a nerd... I went back to a save in the starting Train station and drove all the way to the first loading screen several times at different thrusts. Thrust Fuel Used 18% 67 51% 68 100% 75 So, it appears there is little difference between 18% thrust and 51% thrust, but bumping to 100% thrust definitely used between 10.2% and 11.9% more fuel..

Great test! I was going to say if physics are “real”, the faster you go the more fuel you use. So this information is helpful!

Fallen trees are available throughout the entire game. Don’t bother grabbing every one. Grab a couple here or there along the way and at POI’s and you’ll have more than enough

Zombies can't climb onto thr train so doors are mainly for look. For as long asvI've played this never had a zombie climb on.

Dude, this is not a trap. Wait until you try to get fuel at the station you will visit soon! When you get to the station, put a bunch of red barrels outside the door amongst the cars and blow them to kingdom come when the zombies arrive.

I would wait til chop trees til you find a few on a hill. That way the logs roll towards your train

Horrible advice, you should get trees anytime. They are remotely close to the train. Especially in the early game. Getting both levels of both cars built with walls and roofs is critical early on. Never pass up trees. If you think you have enough wood, you don't

It doesn't let you off the train there is an invisible wall while it's moving
