Great job! Could you share how you got the sticks to light up?

Thank you. In simple terms: One of our parents took a rod and wound a battery powered LED strip around it. They are not inexpensive, but they are striking in dim light. If you want the specific instructions, Email us at office@villaheights.com and we’ll put you in touch with him. Blessings on you and yours today. Jim

@@VillaHeightsBaptist Where did you buy the LED strips? I just see long ones
@VillaHeightsBaptist3 жыл бұрын
@@donwhildin6375 one of our parent leaders created the lighted rods by buying 4’ led strips from Best Buy and attaching the battery controller to a 5/8” dowel (we get those from Lowes) and wrapping the dowel with the flat strip of lights. The controller allows you to set/change colors at the beginning of the songs. (Not so easy to make a change in the middle of the song due to the number of colors that you may need to cycle through.) If you will send an email request to office@villaheights.com, I will forward your request to the original creator for him to elaborate on their creation.

did you make up those dance steps yourself? can we use those dance steps too?

Hi, Wendy. The song that we used is the Go Fish (not Ball Brothers) version. In short: the man that was our stick drama team lead created this particular drama back in 2019 and you’re more than welcome to use the choreography that he devised. A longer answer to your question is that we have learned the “building blocks” of stick dramas from Jeff Smith (saltandlightmin.org) out of Richmond, VA. If you’re new to this form of drama, he sells both choreography DVDs as well as individual downloadable songs. His is a great resource! Many people ask about the LED dowel rods. One of our parents designed and created them for us. They are a striking addition to these dramas. We’ve used them in parades and darkened worship centers. Should you be interested in how to make them send a request for information to office @ villaheights.com (no spaces) and we’ll forward it to that creator for him to send you the details.
