06:21 His big mistake is his pushout. Only two vultures in the back. You need vultures in the front to fight the Zealots. Once they get on top of your tanks they're dead. Half the siege tanks were not sieged.

Its 150 supply to 95, artosis 2 base vs 4 base and stil researching vulture upgrades, hes dead, if he waits on vultures protoss gonna be maxed faster than he can get a decent number of vultures, basically he was going for a desperation break out, hoping toss stopped containing him for a bit so he could set up a tank line outside, no amount of vultures or waiting saves him

@@Fanofstuff Well yeah, but doesn't he have too much tanks compared to vultures? Tanks w/o enough vultures struggle in defence and suck in moving out. Clearly Artosis was not aware about enemy supply count, otherwise he would not have moved out or would just quit right away. his supply is 97 - it's 60 on SCVs and 37 on army. I counted 9 tanks (18 supply), 4 goliaths and 2 vultures (12 supply), 3 marines in a bunker and probably a couple of units in production. To me this seems as a poor army composition in this situation - the move out in this position is a desperate choice even if the supply was even. I would prefer 5 tanks, 2 goliaths and the rest in to vultures which would be at least over 9 considering minerals cost and production time. But I'm no expert here - just trying to do some guesses on what was really the weakness here.

Well, just saw the cnsl final with Scan and Motive. Motive stole gas, forced siege and scan had very similar army with lots of tanks, but unlike artosis game, the supply was more or less even. It seems to me that in situations like this, terrain has to have flawless micro, or otherwise protoss outscales him very quickly.

Not putting your Siege Tanks on the cliff/hill on your natural to extend their range and protect against ranged attacks from below is just one hugely critical mistake. The fact he just plants his vulnerable tanks in the open at the front is just begging to lose the game.

He played well until his move out. Terran can’t just walk out vs protoss. He needed to spread tanks more widely with some sieged on high ground and push forward slowly with mines and more tanks. You can take a late third as long as you never stop making tanks, workers, and upgrades. You can’t just ball up your units and attack move out from your natural. He should know this by now.

Man with that comment i can see how bad are you at sc, those timings that artosis and all the high rank player are doing are TIMED till min 15 or even more depending on the match up or the build of your oponent, he cant spennd that money, fore example more using it on scv's does nothing because he needs that suply on army or the bases are already at max eficiency ( max scv per mineral patch), and more factorys doesnt work because by the time they are finished he would not have the suply or the resources (mineral / gas) to use it effitiently, MAYBE he could have used it on marines to do some sort of all in but as he sayed reaver tech counter that easily, "if the build is timed then why does he have so much minerals" well thats because he got "disturbed " by the probe at the start, wich delayed his rax AND he got a late scout because of proxys (that can be lethat if he is late on his rax), SO this causes him to be BEHIND on his timing and that caused to be more minerals than it should, that was probably to produce more vultures / scv (for his third) but he couldnt spend it because everything was a bit late. SO my man just play another game or maybe pay atention to what you are seeing, because your are SOOOOOO wrong that it hurts.

whats funny is ive actually seen him go wraiths verse Z recently with huge success. I play Z and anytime you can hunt overlords or harass workers and make the Z have to micro/macro more then usual the better it is for you. Force mistakes out of their play .. dont let them get too comfortable.

IF you know you are going vs a protoss, can you just build 1 scv and place it as close as possible to the gas geyser and place on hold position? It would block construction of any buildings since the geyser has a fat hitbox requirement, so yes it wastes the single scvs time and money investment, but it would solve all the arguments Artosis is complaining about (lack of gas from cheese and being forced to go factory, addon and seigetank range.

This comes from someone who hasnt played SC BW multiplayer and needs some clarification. I get that reaver makes terran bio shit in this game, but when the enemy locked him in, neither can attack the other because of tanks, can't some drops be used in this case? marines or vultures are that much of an investment ? the toss walled off their expansions so they cant easily send dragoons or zealots to clean it up.

The fast expansion build that Artosis plays here doesn't allow for a lot of creativity like that, because of constant Dragoon/Zealot pressure. You go fast shuttle, you get your natural melted by Dragoons. You can play all kinds of cheese with one base openers, but apparently such "cheap tactics" are beneath great Artosis.

@@gaborkepiro9061 It might work if the Protoss goes fast third perhaps, or you can make a fast wraith and get lucky and intercept the shuttle. Problem comes from the inability of fast expanding Terran to scout Protoss properly, in the early game. So if you go fast Starport after CC, you basically playing bad odds here, where you have to correctly guess one of the several Protoss builds precisely. Because you will get hard countered if you make a wrong guess. Fast observer, DTs, couple of Dragoons in the main, will shut your Starport build down hard. But don't buy into everything Artosis whines about, Terran have plenty of tools and ways to trick and punish Protoss.

Hes way behind on gas, and if he doesnt go tank seige mode hes gonna die to the ranged goons, he has 130 gas, and needa 180 for seige tank and seige mode so he cant build another factory…. The addon is still building so he can build a vulture… ok sure you guys are right, he can build a third cc and do nothing with it since hes saturated on 2 base and cant take a third anytime soon, so it wont delay anything building it now or later. Hm oh i know! He can build marines with no upgrades vs toss… And to those saying he should have a hit squad of vultures, early game theres almost no chance to get them, you go vulture mine, you die to the goons, not only can toss micro out of mine hits, but when ur literally on 1 factory (ok 2 factory since he skips the tank and seige?) ur 4 vultures are going nowhere, hes got a shit ton of goons that are gonna demolish the vultures b4 they get out since they dont have speed, and on top of that ur gonna die if the other guy can micro against the mines. Essentially the amount of damage that first probe did was way way too much, and then his move out wasnt perfect, so he died, between those 2 points, he was locked into doinn exactly what he did

I'm not a good player but I think you should have turtled more and sacrifice your expansion for mass army instead and then go for his expansions, i.e., sacrifice present growth for present army for a moment that needs it. It's easier said than done.

Art you've really over complicated the game. You need to stop everything outside of resources when you're sensing a two base timing. You need to double racks one fact. Academy. Early game against an aggressive toss. You also, really how did you let a probe do that to you? Just build the barracks somewhere else while the probe is harassing something else. That is fucken, artosis no!

Terrible matchup and terrible map.How stupid is it that the race that went 3rd is the one attacking for free because it can just run away after and takes a free 3rd because terran cant move out with tanks yet and pylon wall blocks vulture.Then takes a 4th and has faster tech with arbiter soon and has like 60 supply advantage and attacks even with no zealot speed against a 2base terran.It also had the ability to make a few mistakes and still be strong.Yet artosis does 1 mistake trying to move out too soon and dies.Protoss players are so bad when they cant even win 90% the time on this unfair matchup.If flash played protoss as much as his terran he would win 95% all PvT because of his amazing game sense and skills.
