2:42 not Russian but Cossack, they where a mix of Turkic, Asian and European frontier folks who got annexed by the then expanding Grand Duchy of Moscow (later renamed to Russia) the Cossacks where used to expand Russia eastwards and eventually absorbed into the military around the 1700's but in the 1800's their independence was destroyed and forced to just become regular Russians, some still try to keep their culture alive and some of their culture has bled over into Russian culture like the dance for example.
