Would love a shooter game to explore the concept of Tyranid Bio-Weapons a bit. They're gross but fascinating from a xenobiology sort of way. Sentient hive-guns that shoot bug-jectiles, toxic crystals, digestive gloop sprays and balls... A lot of games do a few guns like that, very few seem to deep dive it. Probably for good reasons! I can only think of a handful of horror-adjacent games that get close.

Eating the atmosphere actually kinda makes sense. No one thinks about it; but oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen ect are all raw resources that can be used in the biomass birthing pools.

Fun fact, there are real-life insect species who have such abilities. Bombadier beetles, for example, can shoot corosive liquid (read acid bomb) to defend themselves.

Tyranids have to be the most fearsome race in the 40k universe. If they are losing a fight they learn the enemies' weaknesses and evolve to exploit them later. If you just made a super tank, tyranids just made a super tank killer alien.
